VSG Maintenance Group

Good Morning All :) Good nights sleep and woke feeling refreshed. Stayed up chatting to my best friend way too long last night on Messenger. I am trying to get her over to Singapore for a week as a 50th birthday present this year but she has autistic twin boys (adults now) and it will be a challenge to get enough support in place to allow her to go. Working on it and will find a way. We travelled the world for a year together when we where 21 - it would be so amazing if we could do another overseas trip together.
Got all my running around done after work last night. Was invited to dinner at both DH's Siblings but I just wanted a quiet night on my own and had defrosting the filling for San Choi Bow. Today I will go and collect 10kgs of Cherries from the grower - they will be made into Jam, stewed and bottled over the weekend when DH gets up here. Its the end of the season and he gave them to me for $30 AUD which is crazy - cause Im classified as a "local" now. Love living up here. The tomato season is in full swing and they will be selling off the sauce ones around end of January - Early Feb. I see many nights making relish, chutney and sauce.
Just wanted to say this group is amazing. With so many beautiful intelligent and insightful people. I love reading your posts and gain so much from doing so - Thank you all x
Sending you all a parcel of Aussie Sunshine as you winter x

Greetings January Survivors
154 today. Seems like January should be National Survive Depression Month. Holidays over, gloomy weather for many of us, feeling like we all need to buckle down and get stuff done etc. Ann has the right idea - change of venue and explore a city. Sounds like NOLA is a party all the time. Good deal. And the library sounds intriguing. It would be fun to go in there and just look at art books or ones on NOLA history.
Bonnie150 I am glad to hear you feel able to go back to work and hope it goes well. Yeah bells and schedules can be an issue for a healing body. Mudslide analogy is interesting. Yep, get out of the way is the way to go. Better yet, don't live where they have mudslides. Just earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes ......
Liz, sounds like the namemba is better gone soon. Hope Justice is getting lots of cuddling and the alarm systems are working.
When is the next outing for the Airestream Peps. I am not too interested in shows these days but I ought to get off my butt and get Tesla stripped down and finished.
We had more meatloaf last night. I cut too large a piece so Tesla benefited. I am getting tired of trying to cook healthy stuff all the time and long for the days when I could pick up a pizza or make a pot of mac and cheese.
Studio time today plus a later gallery board meeting which will mainly involve wine drinking and a post mortem of the finances of the past year. I think we need to add a couple of new artists but we shall see.
Interesting thought to face what makes you anxious and learn from it. I tend to run away from what makes me anxious so I will have to try the new approach.
Below is a photo of a new sculpture I am working on. Its bigfoot raking leaves in the forrest. That rake is actually a little back scratcher I stuck in the picture. I will make a better rake and it will have a base with some leaves. Cheers. Diane S
Oh, Diane ... I love, love, love your Bigfoot!
