Weight 117.6, calories 1199. Calories were okay but some Cadbury mini eggs were included...
DD is in Tampa until mid-day (went to the Bruins/Tampa game last night). Tonight we are taking her to the local steakhouse (which we haven't been to yet but it is supposed to be the best restaurant in town). Tomorrow we leave early for 2 days in Universal Studios. I expect to be exhausted afterwards based on past experiences in these theme parks. I probably won't be able to post early tomorrow.
Have a wellness Wednesday!

Wowza Wednesday!
I don't normally post my weight these days because I could hints that my public posting making my brain weird. Your postings don't bother me, just my own. (DianeO, I think you get number weirdness?)
But I will say that my weight is down 4+ lbs this morning without any bathroom help. Just makes me giggle.
I have a doctor's appt downtown this morning and then will do a bit of shopping while I am there. Do I need anything? No, no I do not need a darned thing.
Getting back to work this week has been brutal. I need to log in this morning to clear out some msg's so I don't look like a slacker to my buddy pharmacist who suffered mostly by herself while I was gone.
The one nice thing about getting back to work was settling back into structured eating --- I find it so much easier at work than at home.
Sleep is still better, caffeine is lower than I would prefer.
Drink some coffee for me, please.
Shel

Out of curiosity do you weigh daily (so are you down 4 in one day)? If so, have you been reducing calories?
I post what I feel works best to keep me on track. I more or less assume that is true for all of us, whether it is activity level, or number of vegetables and fruits, or whatever works best.

I last weighed 2 days ago.
I almost always wear a large wrap on my lymphedema arm at night. I don't always feel like taking it off in time for a naked morning weigh-in. And heaven knows I won't weigh while it is on my arm, or, after I have had anything to eat or drink.
So, I end up weighing 3-6 times a week. I don't avoid weighing and I value the number. More importantly, I value being aware. It is wirelessly sent to a 2-3 different apps so I am not avoiding the number. I don't even consider it all that personal like I did before VSG. But there is something about a daily public posting it on this board that makes me more anxious about the number in a non-helpful way. (Again, I am not bothered at all about anyone else's weight posting)
I hadn't cut back on calories, the 4 lb swing would be considered within my target range so no big deal. Still, always a surprise to see such a big swing (and I think it was technically 4.6 lbs) that wasn't related to anything that I can put my finger on for sure. Stupid scale.
For my brain, a better thing for me to focus on is self care in general or the the gifts lower weight has brought me. Sometimes that means an 8 mile hike with 3000ft gain. Other times it is being able crawl into the cabinet under a sink to give it a good scrub.
Such a simple question.....sorry for the long answer!

No problem, I was just curious. I think we all have rituals we have developed or are developing in maintenance to help us. I need the numbers because I was a math major and I graph all trends (though I haven't done a graph of weight and calories since retiring - I just look at the weight graph alone on MFP). That's my idiosyncrasy!

Greetings Wednesday Peeps
146.5 today. I guess I post my weight so I have said something maintenance related before I launch into more interesting things. Yeah Easter is the season of chocolate and I had two of the fabulous mints last night. Overall stayed away from crummy stuff and got a fair amount of steps in. No where near the magic 10K but over 4K which somewhere it says is one of the secrets to longer life. On the internet. Must be true.
Well Shel, you left those 4 pounds in the redwoods. Somewhere a tree has gained 4 pounds. They all talk about the height of those redwoods but no one says how much one weighs? Hope getting back to work gets easier.
I like numbers - they don't weird me out, but I don't think all of life's decisions should be made by them. Too many important decisions are made by accountants these days. Should be made by philosophers.
Liz, two days at Universal? Yep that will be killer. We did the one out here one day and it was a zillion degrees but going with niece and nephews made it fun. Enjoy the steakhouse.
Its overcast right now which means it will be a slow gallery day. Walk in circles and do the crosswords. Dust and empty the garbage. Such a life! Hope everyone else has more excitement than me.
Paula, thinking of you always. And hey Joey, lets hear from you!
We took the dogs in for a second flu shot yesterday. As we were leaving, a good friend came into the vet office. We teased him about coming for his own medical care. But he offered no explanation and he has no pets anymore and hasn't for some time. What would one be doing at a vet office if no pets are owned? I could only surmise picking up something for a neighbor.
Back to reality. But coffee first. Diane S

Not much to report today. The vet visit in the new dogmobile was a success! So nice to not have to lift an 86 pound dog in and out of a high SUV. Today is Pilates and painting. I made another casserole for the freezer and accidentally left out one main ingredient. But it still tasted good. Such an exciting life I lead!
More than anything, I want Fergus in the driver's seat, appearing to drive.
But, other than that, can your knitting group get started with decorating it?
