Greetings Friday Fun Lovers
146 today. At least I am hanging in there even if not losing. Studio and estate chores today plus working on taxes. My desk is a shambles. Our whole great room is a shambles since DH has been instructed to clean out the guest room for our house sitter. Considerable evidence of his shopping habits has appeared.
Dinner last night was chicken with salsa. Pretty good. DH has purchased these new non stick pans that are super good and don't appear to be teflon. Copper red or something.
Hey Liz, the pig roast sounds like fun. All the stuff there sounds like fun. Glad little J is doing well under treatment.
Ann its good to hear you are sleeping well and enjoying not having a real job. I have never understood people who can't figure out what to do in retirement. There is so much!!
Yeah Nugget countdown is underway. T-minus 10 and counting....What did that T mean anyway?
Travelher, glad you checked in. Fondue indeed rules as do all forms of cheese. Its a big issue for me too. Glad you had a good time.
All the best Shel for the memorial today. Thinking of you and your family fondly.
Devon so glad Keira is doing well. Sound like it was the right thing. Amazing how well dogs bounce back.
Well time to get on the phone and start yelling at customer-no-service agents. But first, well you know..... Diane S

The King and I was great last night. We had dinner at an Italian place that had the calories on the menu so I picked a pasta that fit in what I had left for the day. I miss pasta, but I really can't eat as much as I used to, which is frankly nice. I wore a pencil skirt and my friends were shocked and had very nice things to say. I need to break out of my clothing rut more often!
Making a Costco run now...
Happy Friday!
Cecily, yes -- break out of your clothing rut more often!
Clothes, fashion, and refining my personal style are my big hobby since reaching goal. I waste so much time figuring out what goes with what and what to wear where. :)

Normal fluctuation down today.
Done in from the week. Lots to do, but feeling discombobulated on the organizational end. I think I would best describe my state as "untethered". I do not feel connected to my tasks, my work, my realness... I am most content while driving in the car working on new songs from old Vic Damone recordings. Found an old favorite, "change Partners". The possibilities of subtext are many - one of my favorite things about Irving Berlin. He hides so much complexity within the simplicity of his music and lyric.
On the food front: I am reminded of the lyrics to an old song written in 1937. "I'll go my way by myself. Here's how the comedy ends...." etc.... ending with, "No one knows better than I myself, I'm by myself alone." Odd lyrics because they can be construed as either strong or pathetic.
Not sure what the weekend holds other than a school function and grooming. Have a great weekend peeps.
