Damn, BB! Maple-brined chicken sounds amazing. As does everything else.
You really are a foodie. In the good way. :)

Greetings Fun Folks
140.5 today. Not good. Its due to a few nibbles here and there of peanuts and junk food that DH brings home. Gotta make him hide that stuff since its "see food" - I see it , I eat it. But a big bathroom moment is on the way I can tell. TMI.
Gosh Liz those pumpkins are astonishing! What a fun event. The local town plaza has a halloween event which we don't attend due to our neighborhood stuff.
Looks like we are going to have a dry sunny day which is good because carpet cleaners are coming and we can put excess junk out on the deck.
Ann, I am intrigued by your reunion hints. I have had a great time when I went to such things but its too far to travel now. Wish I could go because I was real fat at the last ones. Hope medical things go well with your DH.
Early morning phone calls regarding Pat's estate. Don't these people know I live in California and sleep in? Anyway, no big deal and I was able to handle it without getting out of bed. Tee Hee.
Paula, sounds like fun activities. Eagle Scout is such a big deal and I am glad you attended the event. DH was Order of the Arrow and is still proud of that. He was in a boy scout troop back in Omaha that was the same troop that Henry Fonda was in a zillion years ago. They used to go to Camp Cowpie which was some field full of cow poo.
BB you should write a cook book. Everything you describe sounds so good. Be glad your tummy is stretching as that means your little "bun in the oven" is coming along nicely. I used to love to cook like you but not any more. Lately I seem to be fixated on refried beans with cheese. Comfort food.
Well kiln unload today then prepare for the carpet guy. But first, more of my favorite elixir. Diane S
Hi Guys!
Yes, amazing pumpkins. I can't imagine looking at 5000 pumpkins, tho. I don't have the attention span to focus but would enjoy the spooky spectacle.
Ann, best wishes for DH. Paula, when is that surgeon apt for your DH?
Feeling very snacky today but so is my co-worker that had RNY. The whole clinic was knocked off axis with an unexpected weekend death of a 25 year old receptionist. (My RNY coworker was her manager) She leaves behind a 5 year old son. No idea what happened from a medical standpoint. Her mom came in personally this morning to tell our director the news. Oh the grief that mom must be carrying.
Bit of a Debbie Downer today. Sorry about that.

Something like that just knocks you over. You don't expect a 25 year old to die suddenly. First things that come to mind (unfortunately) are accident, drugs, or suicide. So sad for her family. Our DD was 32 when she died but had been battling cancer for 18 months.

No wt.
finished install on bed platform. Then decided to pack up and work on the house for a week. Hope to get a bunch done. I am starting with the project I dread the most. Install window that will require cutting through 8" block. DW and I haven't been apart for a long time. Maybe it will make me work faster. LOL. Below are pics of the view out the back deck of DS#1 cabin. It was overcast but still a great pace to drink coffee. The others are the pedestal beds. One full size and the other queen.
