204. I think I was clogged full of negativity, stress and sadness that was weighing me down. I slept good and felt better this morning even before I saw the number on the scale drop 4 lbs. overnight. I am not happy with 204, but it is much closer to the 180s where I would like to be, ideally 150s. Getting so close to the 210s has me freaked out a bit, but luckily my mind does not have time to dwell on it so I have just kept swimming.

Today begins a 3-day party at work. I cut up three giant cucumbers that I bought at Costco last week and soaked them in diet Italian dressing. They are a hit. As I put some in my tuna for lunch today and tomorrow, I noticed some mini hard rolls, made some quick justifications/calculations to fit it into my plan for the day. I scooped out the innards and filled it with the tuna, cucumber and salad dressing. Oh My Gosh! it was so good! I have not had a "tuna sub" in ages, but I felt like I was eating a tuna sub from Jersey Mike's, it was that good.

So, I ate too fast and have the hiccups. Hashtag WorthIt.

My brother is picking up some slack for me today - He is picking up the boys from school and taking them to their baseball playoffs. I will meet him at the ballpark. My daughter will be in dialysis and is sad to be missing the games, but she is feeling much better.

My brother is also going to meet me at the Courthouse Friday morning so I won't be alone during the hearing with my ex-husband and his wife. I am prepared.

Thank you everyone, it helps knowing you guys are here.

Joey, I'm so happy for you. You have to know we're all thinking of you and trying to help through the ether as you pull for yourself and those you love.

Greetings Kind People

136 which is actually ok because I ate a lot yesterday. Extra long gallery duty, two higher calorie protein bars, cheese and other stuff. Computer was being miserable for the morning workers who were not good at dealing with it. Then another member found a tiny kink in the monitor cord and changed it out and it worked all afternoon while I was there. But I am getting instructions, questions, unwanted advice and bla bla bla from all sides and am getting real sick of that. I am not that good of a computer person anyway. Oh well, done kvetching, lucky to have the gallery and its good people. Its like a little family.

Carbon, sorry about the nightmare. Best not to dwell upon what it means and just forget about it. So odd how our brains work at night. Last night I dreamed I was back in college with a friend who actually died a couple of years ago. The dining hall was closed and we couldn't find any food!

Aruba Aruba! Go Liz. Hope the appointments go well.

Diane O, sorry about Sadie. Some older female dogs have to take a hormone drug for incontinence but likely its just a little infection. Glad the therapy work is going well.

Paula hope DH tests and things go ok. Mayo's is great. My brother had a major surgery at Scottsdale Mayo with outstanding results. Another friend has been treated at Minnesota Mayo for pancreatic and liver cancer and is doing well - like riding his bike on week long trips all over the world. Glad you won your appeal. I had to do that to get Anthem to pay for my vsg 8 years ago.

Joey its so good to hear you are feeling a little more upbeat. What a great idea about the cucumber dish.

BB, my brother had pectus excavatum which is dented in chest to the point his ribs squished his heart. Thats what they fixed at Mayo with great results. Only you can decide about the implants. I had a friend who had implants that were great at first but later in life she grew to dislike them and would have had them removed but she couldn't tolerate surgery for other health reasons.

I see the trainer today. Not sure whats in store for me there. I have been in the gym a couple of times since last week but not enough. Oh well, baby steps.

Oh my goodness Shel. This is stunningly beautiful! This photographer would have a blast! You didn't even need to go to Alaska last year with this beauty so close by! Brrrr about the snow and ice on the water though! How cold is the temp there?

You would have a blast! This pic doesn't do it justice. Way down in the left corner you can see other people and they are in tank tops. I would guess that it was in the 60's up there and in the sun it felt absolutely lovely. At the trail head it was in the mid 70's.

Yes, lots of hikes available in my back yard and it sort of odd that I haven't sought them out, at least not on a regular basis. The last time I was in great shape I was into training for 1/2 marathons. Before that, it was cycling. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be ABLE to do these things again at will. The last 2 miles of this hike are rated "difficult" and I didn't have any trouble. I was a wee emotional as I rounded the corner and this amazing lake was in view and I realized that I had weathered the difficult part with relative ease.

Slept late this morning. DW made me coffee this morning.

Wt 217 A bit of grazing late in the day yesterday.

Last of the old hickory tree moved and stacked yesterday. Returned a bunch of equipment I borrowed from DS#1. Mowing the yard today. Got the AC in the shop and it is doing well. cPap fitting for my mom tomorrow so it will be a travel day.

Diane O, hope your dog is on the mend and that it was a minor fix.

Liz, enjoy your vacation.

Carbon, Sweet dreams tonight.

Paula, glad they revised the decision. Seems like they want to say no until someone makes a little noise.

Ann, being kind to yourself is a task.

BB, "dirty thirty" Ha, I will be 60 in a few days. My 30's were the best.

JoeyJo, Glad your brother is sharing some of your load.

Diane S, When people come to you with computer problems send them to the person that fixed the cord.

Shel, soak it in. The lake is just beautiful.

More later, David

BB and David: I agree - the 30's are the best. Mature enough to not get into trouble but young enough to enjoy all that life has to offer!
