Good job with the gym Diane. I have been slacking off lately...

Yes, there are a zillion hikes around of various lengths and difficulty. I use a website that will sort them by characteristics like old growth, lakes, waterfalls, mountain ridge, etc etc. As snow melts, more and more will become available deeper into the Cascades.

Since I mostly hike by myself, I am careful to stick with popular trails which really doesn't limit me much since I am not that type to go bush whacking, anyway. But, I still very much have the ability to get lost because if you get off the beaten path your odds of running into a good Samaritan go way down. People get lost all the time here, too. I don't want to be a headline.

Yesterday, I ran into a couple on the top of the mountain that didn't have any sort of map. They took a picture of mine and we headed off in opposite directions. We laughed when we crossed paths an hour later. The guy exclaimed "you must be lost!" That happened to be a moment when I knew I wasn't lost. Hopefully they made it back.

210. chin to chest. I do not think I have been eating off plan, have been careful... BUT (why do I always have a big butt?) I have not been logging. Back to logging. My exercise has been better, but (see?) I need to focus on what I put in.

My daughter just took another hit. She has shingles. If this were a movie or a book, most of this would get edited out as being too much. It is too much! She is going for a second opinion today to be sure.

Oh and the gossip and petty ****e going on around me in the office is getting to me. I am being docked again because only 2 hours per week can be made up and get called out about "coming and going as I please" as if I were being paid, because others "might complain" and expect the same accommodations ... meanwhile the others yammer away for long periods of time (45 minute and longer sessions) about current events, their problems which could be easily fixed, vacation plans, clothes, jewelry and the ever popular what's for dinner ...

Moral of the story - I need to leave my desk during lunch and turn off what's going on around me. (Easier said than done.)
