One day to our road trip! I see the PS Dr at 9 tomorrow, then we get on the road at 10. We are mostly packed - DS is going to help DH finish as he is getting confused. Not unlike when we packed up the house we sold a couple of years ago. He has been ok packing for short trips the last couple of years (I just run a verbal checklist for him to add anything missed), but this is packing for 2 months. I don't think he has enough clothes plus he has multiple small bags open all over the place instead of a couple of large ones. I keep reminding him that he is not going on a plane, but it isn't computing. Also he spent all day yesterday looking for some baseball hats he put somewhere to "get them out of the way". I couldn't find them either, so DS is going to try fresh eyes today.
115 with calories @ 1550. Maybe I can eat the number of calories that Ann does - I guess we will see.
I hope you all have a wonderful day. Be kind to yourselves - you deserve it!

***DAYS SINCE CONTAMINATION: 1***
There's my sign! For those of you confused, it is a reference I made to a scene in Monster's Inc. - one day since not eating "off plan!" Even that isn't entirely true since at work we were comparing Costco "finds" and a co-worker had us all try her new found fav - chocolate covered pita chip with sea salt. I only had 1, but it did make my day not 100% on plan. Thankfully I thought they were too salty and didn't want more!
135.8 - up, no reason. Kept calories below 1,200 (just below). Wanted my Costco fav - dark chocolate covered Snack Factory thin pretzels - but had a protein bar instead.
Also got my exercise in, so that is good - I've been stringing those day together pretty well.
Talked to DS#1 about his behavior a bit last night and at first he lashed out a bit but after a couple hours of percolating the information, he came up to me and apologized.
Off to the dermatologist this morning - a 7 am appt. What doctor's office opens that early???? I guess mine does!
Have a great day my friends!
Lucky you to be able to get that Dr appointment out of the way early!
Your DS sounds a lot like my DS at the same age. Over time the thinking kicks in earlier and earlier, but we had a lot of volatility too from about 17-21. Our DS is slightly bi-polar (well controlled now at almost 26).

My clinic opens early. My first patient is at 7 and I usually am at my desk by 6. I love it cuz even an hour later would make for a terrible commute.
I really taste salt these days.....it makes me wary of restaurant foods which I suppose is a good thing. I'm sure my taste buds have changed but I was like this when I was pregnant, too and at that time I was chowing down.

I taste salt more too! Probably a good thing.

We open at 6:30 (for those early morning before work exercisers or for the retired people that just get up early!). I start my day at 7:45 usually (early on Fridays) and am the "late" person, staying until 4 - 4:30 most days. I like starting a little later as I have a 40 minute commute to work - on Fridays I have to get up at 4:30 am to make it to work by 6:30! Much too early for this girl that likes her sleep!
Happy Groundhog Day!

Liz, I hope you do get to eat a lot! ;) Best wishes for your road trip. For 12 years we took care of my mom with Alzheimers. On overnight trips I was always worried she'd wander off and get lost in a strange town. Caregiving is complicated. And some other things, too.
Let's take care of OURSELVES out there!
