I have to weigh later again when I take my shower and will add it.  I am able to chew most everything now other than possibly steak so it is easier to get my proteins.  I feel like yesterday (day 8 post-op) was a turning point for me in that my energy level was much higher and my pain level had decreased so much that I was able to work a full day.  I still took breaks (normally I wouldn't), but I really felt good and had no need for pain medication at bedtime. The surgeon is removing the non-dissolvable stitches around my ears today so that's another milestone.  My face is less swollen and less discolored every day,  but I would still feel weird about going out.  I'm hoping that another week will make a big difference.

We leave for Florida in 2 weeks - I can't believe that is coming already.  Not looking forward to the drive, but at least I fly back.

i hope you all have a great day!

Vyvanse came in.  DW has been my advocate in this med.  It is expensive.  We can't afford it.  She went through all the hoops to get it through a patient assistance program.  All the paperwork through my super busy psych doctor's office.  Staying on everyone to make sure the ball isn't dropped.  The first day went well.  We will see what the next few days is like.  I often do well for a few days and then it plays out.  I now have hopes for it.  We will see.

I started my nursing in home health.  We did a lot of dressing changes.  It never ceases to amaze me how quick the body can heal.  I have seen noticeable progress in 10 hours.  I didn't work much in the surgical side of things but it always amazes me.  Hope you all continue to heal.

I kept all of the interior of the airstream in case I needed it for patterns.  As it turned out I didn't use it but it is all loaded on the trailer to go to the waste station. I plan to do that this morning. That will be a good work out.  It is 8x16 trailer and it is full.

Those patient assistance programs are terrific, I am glad your DW kept on top of it.  Believe me, the doctor's office is glad to help you with it and appreciates that DW helped with the details.

124's today which is a relief.   I didn't weigh yesterday and assumed that I gained a bunch in 48 hours even tho eating wasn't terrible during that time.  Catastrophic thinking plays into this somehow.  I'll have to put that in my brain's parking lot to mull over another time.

Liz, enjoy your energy!  It is so wonderful to feel good again.   But my PS was right when she warned that I would still have occasional very low energy days and to behave accordingly.

My mantra continues:  don't take skinny for granted.

You are so right! Low energy hit this afternoon, so I cut the workday short.  Lying on the couch.

Still at 115. A quick post as I'm about to head off to work again. The week has been shaping up pretty well food choice wise and I'm grateful I've been able to get my head back in the game.

Thinking of making a mala - does anyone use one for prayer/meditation? Wondering how to make the gen stone bead selection/s? Or does it really matter?

Unfortunately this link doesn't get much into different types of beads but there is info out there if you look and are interested.  I came across that lava can be healing or some such thing recently.....it stuck out because we still have a lot of mt St. Helens ash and I presume lava around so I was going to keep my eyes open

i am pretty sure that there are lots of malas on etsy that might give you ideas, too

Up 1.8. Well deserved. Ate a lot of treats since they were available at school yesterday and I didn't give a **** Water was low, too. Perfect storm.

Moving through the stupid emotional stages I need to navigate to get back to normal. I don't expect anyone to understand, but know I gotta do what I gotta do.

I totally get it.  It is so hard for me to get out of the N&Y once I go back to eating it all the time.  Such a battle of the mind.
