morning

JoeyJo, your workplace sounds intense!   Kairk I try to eat 4-5 ounces of protein with 1/2 cup veggies.  carbs come in the form of milk.  And then there are the days when carbs in very unhealthy forms creep in.

cals yesterday were 1145 but were unhealthy calories and only 7854 steps.

Weekend is a-coming.

Good morning!

140 ODT. Heading to work but getting out a bit early.  This evening we are leaving for two nights at Great Wolf Lodge!  Kids have always wanted to go and we are very excited!!  Grateful for more energy and feeling comfortable going to an indoor water park.  I still hate my skin suit being so visible but since the kids and hubby could care less I will try not to either.  I'm sure there will be plenty of food challenges but I will do the best I can and will be active.

Paula, hope you are still feeling well.

Dave, I miss you wherever you are!

love to all!

Heather :)

Wt 222  steady for the last week or so.

Thanks for asking where I've been.  I've missed you too.  Sorry I have been absent.  This forum is normally the first part of my day.  Lately I have had sleep changes, fighting anxiety and depression, juggling meds and pushing myself to do at least one productive thing with my day.  Some days I win.  Today is a good day.  Eating has reverted to nuts and yogurt.  Somewhere along the WLS journey I have developed an aversion to meat.  It is one thing to have an unusual craving like nuts and yogurt but it is just unfair to have to choke down a great cut of meat while trying to avoid the craving.  So for now I am caving to the craving.

Paula, Fast healing.  Glad you are not in pain.

JoeyJo, I used to cover my co workers in the ICU nursing.  It is very stressful when you switch from trying to keep one patient from crawling out of bed to keeping 2 patients safe, I feel your pain.

Kairk, 4 oz when I eat meat.  I count ketchup as a vegetable.

Heather, great job on the 5 ks

Hang in there to all struggling.

I count ketchup as sweets since it has more sugar than jelly, and I don't eat sweets. The low sugar ones are a lot better. I can't tell the difference in taste. Have a great day.

Good to know about low sugar ketchup- I've never tried it. Ketchup is a staple in our house because DD won't eat any meat without it.

Try the Heinz reduced sugar. It has a blue label. 1 carb per Tablespoon vs 4 carbs per tablespoon for regular.

126 this morning, goods steps yesterday, a bit of home yoga.

"Learning is easy, being is haaaard."   This quote if from Luanne, the comic strip.  It spoke to me on many levels.

Dave, nice to see you today and of course nice to see the rest of you too.

May you find ease in your "being" today.

Shel

I remember that pain being outweighed by the joy of being able to shower.
