And a very early good morning to us all.

welcome Paula.  Thanks for posting.

My calories were up way to high, 1675.  And am up 3 this am.  As well the food at the " swishy " restaurant  was very salty and there were sauces that normally don't have or like but these were delicious.

The band of three teenagers was quite amazing.  No metal, gentle rap, some Stones, and some ballads.  All in all a great night out with wonderful company.

and in 'payment ' for the overindulgence I have been struggling with severe leg cramps so am up walking and chugging water.   Sugar does it every time and am learning that salt does the same thing.  One time the cramps were so painful that fainted and knocked myself out on a table.  Beautiful bruises.

This was our little community's first B. Friday and apart from other 7 die-hards at 6am , the mall was empty.   Didn't spend a dime but my friend felt like she got some major deals.   And of course shopping takes on a whole new dimension where she sent photos of the items to her daughter a province away, to make sure that was what the grandchildren would like.  The irony is that in Alberta (the next province) they don't have provincial taxes while here we are at 7%, so it really would be cheaper for her daughter to purchase the things there but it is the thought that counts.   And as mentioned before she is a consummate shopper.  It was an intense 2 hours before work, then work and then the wanton night out.  Whoooosh.

my goodness this is a tome.

enjoy your Sat everyone.

Good morning everyone. I'm still at 113 due to my gi troubles. I think I'm really solidly at 114, which is where I wanted to go. Those of you who've been around for awhile know my preferred wright is 112, but I haven't seen that for almost a year. It's been a struggle to come to terms with that variance but for today I'm glad to be solidly south of 115 again. Will see what the scale tells me is the real number over the next couple of days and if it's 114, I'm going to very slowly start moving my calories up.

I'm going to work a late but shorter shift at the wine store today. Sometimes we visit the ice cream shop when we're bored there, but I can't do that today because I had my weekly 'planned' treat last evening.

155.2#... I'd like to be in the 140's and I saw it for a split second a few weeks ago and went straight back up again.  Oh, well...I'm not giving up.

We've already ran errands...my shoes came yesterday and I kept two out of the three I ordered. We took the others back to the UPS store.  I love Amazon Prime! We also bought a Christmas tree and are going to decorate the house today.  We usually do it the day after Thanksgaving, but I was just not feeling it.  I'm feeling better today:)

It's Bedlam Saturday between the two state universities.  We have friends coming to watch with us.  Should be a fun evening with a planned treat!

Happy Saturday!

Hi all and welcome Paula.  Sounds like everyone made it through without major issues.  Dinner of ham was here last night and was fine. we indulged in a bit of Limoncello liquor that i brought from Italy two years ago and never opened.

Nephew and girlfriend are still here.  its brunch at SIL and then drop in to art gallery party.  then who knows what. I can tell these two are pretty serious because they each have the other's I phone passwords. Jeez they never put those things down.

No shopping around here except on line.

Its cold and sunny - frost a little but the visitors had awesome redwood hikes and glad its clear to see the views.

Good day so far. I exercised first thing this morning so as not to have an excuse later in the day to not do so - Did 45 minutes of step aerobics (an oldie from the early 90's, Jane Fonda, but still one of my fav workouts). Scale said 132 even - goal weight is 130. I saw 129.5 on my Mom's scale about a week ago when I was visiting her in FL but don't know if mine would have said the same. Not time to do the victory dance yet. I did get some new jeans in the mail today though - size 1/2 and they fit good (one pair even had room to spare - stretchy material). I will be getting some size zeros in the mail this next week, will be so excited to see how they fit. The smallest I had ever been was a 3 in the past - of course I know sizing has gone down over the years...I'm not really fooling myself.

Christmas tree and inside decorations are up. I will be taking the Christmas card picture of the family soon to order our cards. Thinking of going to the last Hunger Games movie today. Kids have already been and they loved it.

Thanks for the welcome to this community!

I am the late bird today, I see. Was up and grooming this morning - not too early though. The scale did it's usual Saturday morning rise after my regular Friday training session. I have been playing with the same two pounds now for a couple of weeks. Not sure what I'm willing to do differently right now to tip the moment downward again.

I've been taking 6000 mg of Omega 3 fish oil pills. I decided to check out the calories on those puppies - a whopping 105 extra a day that I have not been counting. Sheesh....I don't want to count them, but I guess I had better. I'm also considering stopping them until I'm back at goal. Input anyone? (MY HDL is traditionally low, so I have to supplement in huge quantities to get my HDL over 40.)

Feel much better today, too. Not completely back to normal, but well on the way, I think.

I have two more dogs to groom today and then I think I'll go get a massage because after 3 dogs my back will be a little achy.

I have fewer than 20 pounds to lose at this point to be back at the "white jean" weight. It's really not that much, but I'm not feeling as motivated as I was a few weeks ago. Maybe it's the tiredness and lack of energy from the cold coupled with a little bit of a sugar hangover from Thanksgiving. I must admit I did CRAVE dessert last night and had a slice of the sugar free pumpkin pie that was left over. Only a 180 calories and still within my limits for the day, but carby nonetheless.

Completely on track so far today and plan on keeping it that way.

Cheers!

Depends on the reason you are taking them.....studies have shown that that Omega 3 fish oil pills really don't protect against heart disease like we once thought  http://jama.jamanetwork.com/article.aspx?articleid=1357266 . I work in Cardiac Rehab and my cardiologist had me stop taking them. Omega 3's from food (salmon, ground flax seed, avocados etc. is still good).
