'Morning all and happy Saturday.

Today's weight 134.8

Meeting today with the excavator who will first be grading the driveway then leveling a foundation for Hubs workshop on the land we bought a couple years back. Kind of exciting. We'll be building a house there in a few years; it's to be our retirement home though we'll move in sooner.

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

That does sound exciting Mom!!  Are you moving from city to country, the opposite, or just staying in the city/town you're in now?

I knew my new low would be short lived yesterday because it always happens that way.  I see a new low and the next day I bounce up a pound, or almost a pound.  Today's weight in 163.4 which would have been a new low in itself if it wasn't for yesterday's 162.6.

Have a great day everyone!

We live on the edge of a small city (25,000) people. The land is on the edge of a 23,000 acre wildlife management area (our back lot-line actually is the border of the wildlife management area) and is pretty rural but not too far out from shopping. It's on a paved road, the only one in the subdivision, which we thought we'd appreciate as we got older.

That sounds very nice, and peaceful.  Perfect for your retirement years.

Good morning everyone:

Weight steady at 152.  According to BMI am still overweight for my height.  Another 10 pounds to go.   Will I make it?  Do I need too?

That is a pound lower then usual.

This is not an invitation to eat....This is not an invitation to eat.....this is not an invitation to eat...

Okay I think I've convinced myself.

Started new job on Thursday and feeling overwhelmed!  That is normal I know.  Wonder how long until I get a decent comfort level.  Learning curve looks steep from this angle.  It's going to be okay...it's going to be okay...it's going to be okay....This is not an invitation to eat.

Okay I've got it.

Have a great weekend!

congrats on the ground-breaking! Building a home that we had input on (higher countertops, please!!) is a dream for us!

Had an intentional high cal/higher carb day (120 real carbs, 50+ fiber, and nearly 150 protein = 2500cal- 800-900cal over my maint range) and enjoyed the hell out of it. Yes, I had to graze to get it in and ate a lot of nuts & cheeses.. Woke a pound lower, unexpectedly - 139.1. I plan on doing this every couple weeks prior to a heavy weight day. Tomorrow is weight lifting day, today is jeans shopping day I think.. I may actually buy my first pair of brand new nice jeans..

I'm thinking I like myself in the higher 130's to 141 range rather than lower.. I'm starting to see myself a little better and at my height, 139 is rather slim looking already. I think I'm settling in to my body, finally. Wearing a size small top & bottoms now as it is, and even the small bottoms can be a bit loose.. Who would have ever thought.. not expected, but wow- really appreciated! Been ordering a ton of Victoria's Secret stuff, and have a lot to return, but for the first time- not because they didn't fit! Everything in size small :)

(I also realized push up bras are my friends..)

We are planning to make the ground floor ADA compliant and set it up so that an elderly couple (who we hope to be one day) could live their entire life on that level. So it will have a fairly large bedroom and bath downstairs, though we'll live in an upstairs master suite unless we need to move down. We're not going to make upstairs ADA because our feeling is if someone can get up there, they are not likely to need the full ADA thing.

We also plan to put radiant heat in the basement floor and set up a bedroom/bath for our daughter with a fridge and microwave and her own entrance. She'll be in college by the time we move. So there will be three bedrooms - one on each level.

My SIL did this with her house. They have 10 acres and the entire basement is wheelchair-accessible. Walk-out basement. double door entry. pellet stove (old folks get colder than us). She's had 4 parents and grandparents live in the basement so far.  They did radiant heat, had a water "bladder" (think massive water heater that you can't ever, ever drain of ho****er), full kitchen, laundry. All of it.

Congrats on the ground breaking!
