Daily Maintenance Weigh In - Sunday 9/23

Good morning. Today is supposed to a system shocker here, high only in the 60's. We plan to head back to the park where I hike yesterday, but just to play today. I noticed that the Shenandoah River, which has been low pretty much the whole spring and summer, was up due to some really heavy rains we had. Hubs likes to take long-exposure moving water photography so we'll go play with that.

Today's weight: 139.4 so I am starting to bounce back from my "sick weight" low, hooray.

Who's next?

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

Perfect for me. I think we will go treasure hunting down on the beach and look for sea glass today.

Calorie laden breakfast - No problems meting my calorie goal today.  Made pain perdu for the hubby and decided to enjoy some myself.  I cannot believe I just ate a close to 700 calorie breakfast.  Going for a hike around the lake with DH in a bit.

I know I sound practically Amish, but I love the fact that we make all of our food at home from scratch. The only things on the table today that we didn't make at home were the powdered sugar (on his slices) and the sugar free maple syrup.  Everything else, the bread, the strawberry compote (on his - too much sugar for me), even the butter we made at home.

167.6 today.  These kinds of days tempt me to constantly exceed my calorie allowance since it seems like whenever I do (like yesterday), my weight goes down.  I know it doesn't really work that way so I won't be giving in to that temptation anytime soon.

Have a great day all!

Salt, salt, salt.... had salted nuts yesterday and am paying the price. On the flip side, getting all my calories in was a breeze because I ate two nice big handfuls of cashews. Nice treat, but boy did it make me thirsty last night!

Looking at replacing our Toyota van today with a big old Ford E 150 or 350 to schlep the dogs and then a Prius or Fusion for commuting and around town driving. Car shopping makes me all uptight!

Up a lb to 137.6, combo of cycle and salt (had my first ever Zweigle's white hot yesterday at the bird sanctuary.. plus a couple drinks.)

Left for home and our warm fuzzy beds as everyone was hunkering down to sleep in temps dipping down into the upper 30's! One couple decided to set up in front of the fireplace in the shelter as it was warmer inside.. in fact, we spent the whole eve inside the shelter as under the stars was just too chilly! Interesting sights/sounds: The screech owls were in rare form calling close by at night, and the one lone Big Brown bat who was hunkered down in the rafters of the shelter was a star for a bit, as well as the field of giant puffball mushrooms behind the shelter, they almost glowed in the moonlight.. I've never seen so many in one area.

May go back next weekend for an overnighter, provided that the weather is warmer..
