OMG. You are within 5 lbs of goal (freaking out, trying to imagine myself that close).

It's a fun game, isn't it. I had NO idea, really, what I was carrying around before. Now I'm imagining it as a 123 lb pile of lard or something - how big would that be. OK that, grossed me out.

Only 5 lbs to goal - woohoo!!

Highest weight: 335 lbs, BMI 50.9
Pre-op weight: 319 lbs, BMI 48.5
Current range: 140-144, BMI 21.3 - 22

175+ lbs lost, maintaining since February 2012

I can't imagine how I went up "The Wall" as I call it.....

Shinjuku Station in Tokyo.......

To get to the Narita Express Train headed to the airport.....you must climb what is equivilent to two stories worth of stairs in one shot to get to the tracks.

OK... the math.....I weigh 148lbs. now.....I was 350lbs. so this is how it adds up....

- 190 Lost
- 100 (two 50lbs. suitcases)
-  60 Camera Backpack
-  20 Computer Bag

Total 370lbs.

I can't lift 370lbs. now?????
That is Super Athelete **** !!!!
And carry 370lbs. up 2 stories of stairs in one shot ????

What the Heck ?????

Tee Hee , I think its funny to be the new measure of weight loss. I lost an entire "me" too, having halved myself. My husband needs to lose an entire "Diane" too (but not me) and I have no doubt he will do it. Actually a Diane plus our two dogs worth of weight.

I too am amazed I carried all that weight around.  I buy clay in 25 lb bags, two bags to a box. I can barely lift that 50 lb box and usually carry the bags out one at a time so I don't wreck my back. Imagine I was hauling around 2.5 of those boxes of clay.

No wonder we have all  lost muscle mass as we needed a lot of extra muscle just to carry all that lard around. At 130 lbs my body fat % was measured and it was 30% which doctor said for my age and gender was pretty normal. Seems like a lot to me.

Anyway, congrats on losing a "Diane".   At support group last week we added up that the post op people had together lost 1500 lbs!  Thats at least a dozen Dianes'.

Diane   (the one that is not lost).

When I reflect on the 230+ extra pounds I carried just 16 months ago it makes me breathless.

Congrats on losing a Diane.
