Pop
*really want to drink one every day*
This to me is a warning sign.
I think you are going to have to decide if its worth it to you. If I find I am becoming any food/drink substances ***** then, for me, its a sign I need to let it go.
Depending on the soda you are drinking too, some of that stuff is just full of bone eating chemicals.
It leaves my stomach bloated and round!!
AND I drink it daily!!
I am just in the process of switching 'some' of it to Club Soda and lime... but I am not completely there yet...
Love my diet coke... no I 'should' not be drinking it... but I don't smoke, do drugs, drink alchohol (on a regular basis), eat as much junk food as I used to, eat bread, rice, pasta, etc... I don't __________ (you fill in the blank), and so I treat myself to my diet coke...
Yes it is bad, I do it anyway!! I am a naughty girl and hubby will deal with me later...

Hugs,
Cindy

I don't do anything bad either except for the Diet Coke. Also I hate Crystal Lite or any other kind of drink like that. Ever since my surgery I just can't drink those flavored drinks! I know Diet Coke is bad for my bones and everything but..............I don't drink coffee or any other caffeineted beverage. When I drink pop I feel like it is a treat and causes me not to snack.
I too am a diet soda drinker & risked drinking it starting month 4. I use it as a snack & to "fill me up" when I have head hunger. I haven't found it to be a problem with my stomach and doesn't seem to have decreased my restriction. But, that is my decision & everyone has to make the decision for themself.
If I am wrong, then so be it (I will cry a river of diet soda later) & I will have to reap the consequences ... But, I look at guidelines as just that. Guidelines. This is my life and my journey. There is no cookie cutter - one size fits all.
ok ... I have stepped off my soapbox now.

I can not drink anything sweetened with aspartame. I can taste that stuff for hours after I drink it. So, I avoid most diet sodas.
