Hello all, due to the fact that the first Monday in September is Labor Day we will need to cancel our meeting. Unfortunately the bank did not have another evening available. Our next meeting is scheduled for October 5, 2009. We hope to see you there.

 HELLO IMA NEW MEMBER AND IM NOT SURE HOW ALL THIS WORKS FROM WHAT I SEE U HAVE A MEETING ON  MONDAY THE 6TH  ARE THEY ALWAYS ON MONDAYS?   I JUST RECENTLY HAD  LAP BAND SURGERY  ON JULY 1 SO IM LOOKING FOR A SUPPORT GROUP  DR JESSEE DID MINE  BUT I LIVE IN PLANT CITY  SO  LARGO IS A LONG WAY FOR ME TO DRIVE  ANY ADVICE?

It is with great pleasure that Melissa and I announce the graduation of our youngest daughter Elizabeth from Lake Region High School Winter Haven, with Honors. Elizabeth will be attending Florida Southern College in the Fall. We are extremely proud of all her achievements and we know she is on a great path to a succussful career in the Arts.

Chris had some great suggestions, my question would be is this pre op or post op?  Not sure if it makes a difference with your surgeon but with ours we had to stick to Opifast for the two weeks before surgery.

Just keep drinking lots of water, etc.  The first few days were a little rough for me, but then you adjust and it's not so bad.  I drank a lot of water and Crystal Lite throughout the day, and chewed a lot of sugar free gum.  I did find a bouillon that was extra good - found it at Publix.  I think it is something like "better than bouillon" or something like that but it's a paste, not a dried cube.  The turkey flavor was actually my life saver.  After a while, the chicken and beef broth got a little old so turkey was helpful.  Sugar free jello too - more chewing stuff.

Hang in there!  Today is my nine month anniversary of my banding and I've lost 91 pounds so far.  It's the best thing I've ever done for myself!
