Egg Mock Muffin June 23, 2008 5:37 am These are great fixed in a muffin pan or a 9x12 pan but don't forget to grease the pans otherwise you will have a mess. These can be frozen and makes a great quick breakfast or snack. My daughter loves them during the school year. If cold zap in microwave for 15-20 seconds, if frozen try 45-50 seconds.

Great Second Meeting June 23, 2008 2:53 am We had a great meeting for those of you who could not join us. We did a taste test of Profect which is a protein drink with no carbs. I believe it was 25 grams of protein for 150 calories. The feedback we got from it was pretty good.
1 comment | Leave a comment. The next meeting is July 29th because we cannot get the bank on the third Tuesday. everyone pretty much decided it was more important to know where to find us and change the date. Good news is that we are back on for the third Tuesday of the month for August and September! Great News this week: Chris has her Lap Band on Tuesday (6/24) Sheena has been approved and is scheduled for Lap Band on July 22 That means two new banders to join our ranks before the next meeting! Congratulations to you both! Let us know if there is anything you need! I will be posting new recipes for high protein, low carb foods over through this blog. Please let me know if you have a favorite low carb receipe that you would like to share!
Time flies June 11, 2008 10:31 am I can't believe we are less than a week away from our next meeting. One of my good friends from my office had lapband surgery yesterday. I left a message at her home so I am hoping to hear from her later this week!
Be the first to leave a comment. We need some topics for discussion. Is there anything in particular you would like to discuss? I have some ideas but would like to hear from everyone else. I got a fill about 2 weeks ago. For those of you who are not banders that is when the Doctor injects saline into the band to make it a bit snugger. For the first time it is pretty snug. I'm thinking we hit the sweet fill which has been eluding me. I am able to eat about 2 oz at each meal. It has been hard for me to get my family to realize that food just isn't the same for me. I still love to cook for them but it hard for me to decide what food to fix because I rarely eat what they are having. Ira has been helping by planning out a menu so we can shop by it and then there are fewer questions about what is for dinner. Well time to get back to sending out more invites to our meeting!
Thank you for starting the group May 27, 2008 10:39 am Melissa you did a great job facilitating the first meeting of the group. This is the first support group meeting that I have been to after my surgery in October and I really enjoyed. Ira it was so great to see how you support Melissa and all of us. I do believe this group will add to my success with my "tool".

May 21, 2008 7:24 am Last night Melissa led her first Group Meeting for O.H. We had about 8 people including us there. Melissa has worked very hard not only losing weight, but training many hours to become a Group Leader. Training for this group and watching her last night just continues to show her deep passion for Bariatric Surgery. I truly believe that if we could afford some day “to take her show on the road” we would. Melissa and I cannot wait to see all of you again next month. And not to brag again but I love her so much for what she is doing for herself and others.
