Thanks Laurell!  I'm glad the hot tea worked for you.  It's so funny because I always hated tea and now I'm drinking a cup a day, sometimes more.  It definitely soothes my tummy. *LOL* I do wish we were closer together.  It sucks that you have to drive 40 minutes or so to get here.

I feel for you.  I actually ended up getting out of the house after DH got home.  I had to go to a meeting and then I took my time at the grocery store.  By the time I got home, the artillery was done for the day.  BUT it's back today.  *LOL* I know they have at least 2 impact zones.  One was over by my old house.  It was almost every day from 7:30am to sometimes 11pm.  They didn't start using this other one again until after we'd been in this house for about 2 months.  Now it seems this is their favorite.  Oh well.  At least our guys are getting the training they need and are well practiced.

I am taking the chewables, but GAWD!.  They're aweful!  I'm taking the building blocks.  That's 2 calcium chewables and 1 multivitamin chewable in the morning and at bed.  My iron is a swallow at lunch.  They were ok at first, but now I start gagging just as soon as I start chewing.   Unfortunately, I don't wear a watch (or any jewlery) during the day because of the nature of my work.  *LOL*  I'm always elbow deep in something...dishwater, poopy diaper, whatever mess the dogs have made.   I hate to admit it but I don't even KNOW where my wedding rings are.  They scratch the kids so I stopped wearing them.  Now I'm not sure what "safe place" I've put them.  DH just ordered me a new ring for our anniversary though to take their place and that is more practical.  He doesn't know I know.  *LOL* Anyhow, I'm still going at it 3X a day trying to get my vitamins in.  I bought 2 new water bottles yesterday.  I just can't do the 32oz ones anymore.  That and we don't buy bottles of water.  We have a cooler and DH fills our bottles at the store.  Less environmental impact and cheaper.  Anyhow, they're 2 17oz bottles that you don't have to suck on.  They work similar to coffee travel mugs only they snap closed really tight and have a clip on them for your purse strap or whatever.  I'm really happy with them.  I think they're just the right size.  They also fit in my cup holders in the car.  I spilled my hospital mug too many times.

If you don't know who Sandra Lee is, she's got a show called "Semi-Homemade" on the Food Network.  The Food Network has also featured her in one of their "Chefography" shows but it doesn't go into the detail that her book does.

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is a race that is not about running—it is about life. 168 banners line the marathon course, one for each victim. Those banners serve to remind us as we run that we have been given the gift of life and that it is too precious to waste. This is what the Memorial Marathon is about: realizing the preciousness of time, valuing one another, taking life as it comes and making something magic from it. Celebrating Life. You don’t have to be a runner to participate in the Memorial Marathon. All you have to do is change the world you live in one moment, one opportunity, one person at a time. It is not about running—it is about living.

There is an entry fee, as soon as I have the information together I will post it to you so we can get it to everyone.  It is a major city event and if my mind serves me (haha) yes there are assistance spots throughout the course and shuttles if there are issues.   As soon as I take care of building the team site on the main website for the marathon I'll make sure that information gets here as well.  I am kind of in the starting phase of putting this together so I am a little slow!! If you haven't registered at www.thiscityisgoingonadiet.com everyone should!  It is a great tracking mechanism and a great motivator too!  There will be blogs and forums available there as well.  At if you are not a OKC resident (I'm not either) it doesn't matter.  It is a huge push to get the entire area to lose weight!  A lot of companies are joining and trying to get their employees healthier too! More to come!! Ruth

I have had the worst migraine this afternoon.  So, I came home to try to get over it and guess what...there is pounding, but it's other than my head!  It is from the house being built right behind me. So Sister...I'm right there with you! Tonja
