I just got onto the board for the first time.  I was drinking about  125-130 ounces preop.  I love my water.  I am only 13 days post op and I am barely able to get 64 oz. my doctor wants me to get in.  Every day it gets better though. I feel great!  And in 13 days I have lost 16 pounds off my preop weight.  46 lbs total. I am definately focusing on drinking my water! Diana

Ok I am just finishing another bottle I am at 74 oz today.  Better then yesterday, I felt like I had a constant bottle at my lips.  How do you get in over 100 oz a day??

One thing that I think helps me get the water in is that my water bottles all have spouts on them.  I squeeze the water into my mouth.  For some reason it helps.  Also, I always have some sort of flavor in my water. Also, the farther out that you preop the easier it is to get the water in.  I don't know why but it's true.  I've asked others and they say the same. Just keep up the good work.  Think of how many people out there only consume soda and nothing else.  Just think what that does to their bodies. Tonja

Thanks for the words of encouragment.  I really feel like I am failing in many ways.  Each day I wake up to do better than the day before.  Taking it day by is all that I can do at this time, and try to learn something new each day.

We are creatures of habit!  Take it day by day.  Let tomorrow be your new "good" day and then say that it is your new habit.  It only takes one day of good to get us going in the right direction.  YOU can do it!  Just find what works for you.  AND REMEMBER...each and every day is a new learning experience and you can only look back and smile because there is nothing we can do about the past but learn from it. Tomorrow is going to be your day! Tonja

My water consumption for Tuesday, January 8th was 94 ounces.  Sorry I think I posted only to the Biggest Loser thread. I will let you know about today after church tonight.  Thank you for keeping track of all of this.  I can't wait to see what our next challenge will be.

My water intake for today will be 100 ounces.  I have found the easiest  way to get my water in is to use my Weigh****chers bottle with the nice little straw and it has the measurement on the side.  I also flavor my water with Crystal Lite to help get it down.  I also set a challenge for myself in getting to 100 ounces per day and some days I make it and some days I don't, but what matters is that I do at least get in 64 ounces each day.  Getting my water in each day helps to keep me from getting hungry and it helps to wash away the broken down fat especially after exercising. Diana you are doing so well.  Wow, 46 pounds already.  I realized today that from the time I started this process back in October I have lost (by my scales) 25 pounds.  So that means I'm only 10 pounds from getting a surgery date.  I'm so excited.  I'm hoping to be pretty close to having that next 10 pounds off by the time I go to the NUT. on 1-25.  I have 16 days in which to lose it.  So it is drink water like crazy and exercise like crazy for me.  I know that is asking a lot but I'm going to try for it over the next couple of weeks.  Keep me in your prayers. Good night all......

Wynotha, I know that you can do it.  I am so proud of you for your get up and go.  Also, it shows how you are going to do awesome once you have surgery. Just know that I want to give you a hug for doing so well and being such an inspiration! Tonja

WOOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!  I got 90 oz today.  I love this challenge it brings out the best in me.  Helps that I had to take a pee drug test for the new job today.  I had to do it three times.  First time I just didn't have enough.  Then went back later after 2 bottles of water and 1/2 of a hot tea and I had more then enough, but as I was pulling my pants up the cup was on the sink and slid and dumped into the sink.  So I stepped out and drank two more cups of water and the rest of my tea and ended up with just enough.  So that was my day peeing in a cup all day.  But hey got my water in!!!!!!!!! edited for spelling
