September Sleeves...and friends

Thank you! My caffeine free headaches are starting to diminish a bit. I didn't realize how addicted I was to that cup of real coffee and creamer every morning!
just a little over one week till my surgery. I have been looking at videos and reading my literature trying to get ready. That brings up a question. Has anyone found any good apps to keep track of everything yet? If you have found something that works for you, please share.
May God bless everyone with safe and sucessful surgery and a speady healing recovery and yes you got this remember walk when you can and take deep breaths......
I too felt that wY the whole two weeks before my surgery (9/9/14). I bought a book about food addiction because as I was journaling the two week diet I realized how much I though about food. Hoping that learning why I think that way and the sleeve doing its job I can have a successful outcome. Good luck!!!
I was so disappointed after I met my goal weight that I had to MAINTAIN my weight loss until my surgery date. All I wanted was to have one last really good meal before surgery. So I totally hear you. Unfortunately my last meal was very unmemorable lol as I was too afraid I would not make my weight. Good news is, that with this surgery we will eventually be able to eat "normal" foods again, we just will eat much much less of it. That in itself was a relief for me to hear since so many activities revolve around food and enjoying good food. Best of luck to you!
Best of luck to you Sharlit! I know you will do wonderfully and we will be here to support you through it :)
Thank you for the support! It is nearing the end of my 6th day on a clear liquid diet (2 days pre-op with bowel cleanse + surgery and after) and I am not craving food but am feeling my energy deplete daily. I am not scheduled for my 1 week post-op until Sept 19 and I am worried how I will manager another 6 days on clear liquid. I am so looking forward to moving onto a soft liquid! Otherwise, I am rather surprised by the recovery. The pain is mostly very well managed by liquid tylenol and oxycodeine. I do feel I spend a LOT of time taking meds but I have had far worse recovery periods after other less-life changing surgeries. I am already down nearly 20 pounds from my starting weight pre-pre surgery weight loss. My nurse told me I would most likely be under 200 pounds by the end of September! That to me is AMAZING! Started at 250 at my heaviest, was at 239 at my pre-surgery check in and at 232 pounds day of surgery. Gained some weight back slightly (gas and water weight most likely) and left the hospital at 235. I was at 231 this morning.
I am feeling more and more encouraged every day. Just need to get through this clear liquid diet. Good luck to everyone having surgery this month! I am so glad to have a group to get through this together. :)
