I'm thinking about all you guys and wondering how everyone is doing?? I just hit 5 lbs below goal. Still love my sleeve. Have blood work later this week but plan on all being well. Keep on smiling!

Hi Mikki! You are doing great! Protein was a huge struggle for me too. I buy premier nutrition protein shakes and bars from Sam's Club. 30 g protein in each! So what I normally do is have a shake after my morning coffee for breakfast, and then a bar as a mid-day snack/boost. BAM!! 60 g of protein in!
I struggle now with the water intake. I know I'm not getting enough so my new goal is going to be a focus on water. And increasing my work outs to tone. I have lost about 50 pounds and just reached under 200 pounds finally last week. I thought it would never happen. I have had so many "stalls" where my weight doesn't change for 2-3 weeks. It's frustrating. I get lots of compliments on my look and people noticing I've list weight. Am down to a size 14 jeans which is great. And I am feeling healthier. So I am looking forward to my continued journey and seeing where I'll be 6 months out, March 10.
Great to hear from you! I was just wondering how everyone is doing now that we are all 3 months out.
Happy new years to you all!
we're about 3 months out now... how is everyone doing?? I have to say that I am loving my sleeve! Saw the doctor yesterday and I've lost 53% of my excess weight...what he usually sees at 6 months out...so I am super excited...of course I gave credit to his wonderful program...it really did help me to be successful so far... still only averaging about 50g of protein...of course, I'm still only avg less than 4oz a meal too... so I will keep working on that...any updates??

I am with you. Need. More. Protein. It was easier when i could easily slam down the shakes but now that I have to drink slower it definitely takes extra efforr!
was a tough week for me...not sure if I had a touch of the flu or just sucking at the learning curve... better now...how is everyone doing?? Still tough to get all the water in, but I'm working on it...I still need a shake to hit my protein goal too...anyone else getting there without it yet?
Went threw the samething what I found that work was measuring my liquid by the ounce. And sip on water all time. Except 30 min before your next meal. I always carry a water bottle with me all the time trust me it get better.
Great job with the activity! Wow! I went to a renaissance festival with my family and the walking about did me in. I had to sit several times due to feeling quite woozy. I'm afraid I overdid it.
I have been having trouble hitting my water goal. The nutritionist threatened to hook me up to an IV. I think it will be easier now that I'm moving forward onto purees. 10 days of clears post surgery followed by 10 days full liquids was hard to find energy. What are ya'all eating? I get the worst pains if I eat more than a couple spoonfuls of anything so I am having difficulty getting in much for calories or protein. Next visit with my nut is Oct 17, back to work on the 20th.
how everyone doing so far? Also welcome to the new members who aren't sleeve yet. I am doing great walking around the track daily 12 times. Wieght loss coming along great.
I had nausea on and off for the first 2 days post but I've been fine since. I think a lot of it has to do with all the gas that's displaced in your body. I wouldn't recommend not taking the pain medication only because being in pain can slow your progress. You will find that you can tolerate more and so you will do more (ie walking or moving in general cause we're all sore). Just my thoughts
Good luck with your surgery!!! I hope it goes easy...I don't know about a heating pad, but I liked hugging a pillow to me!
