Friday: Got off work at 3... spent rest of afternoon treating myself to hair, and mani/pedi... it was wonderful.
Saturday: Going to mom's and taking my sister and neice and nephew shopping for 1st b-day party invites and then we are going to take pictures at an awesome fire station in Dallas. Then I am having a dinner party at our house with another couple, and then we will play cards or something fun.
Sunday: Probably not a dang thing!
Feeling kind of anxious about tomorrow after getting such good rest today...
Hope yall have a nice weekend too!!!

Waiting for my new upright freezer to be delivered Saturday. Helping out on the farm Sunday morning (shovelling Horse ****) (poop...LOL), then delivering the olf chest freezer to SIL and hour away, laundry, housework, and making a big pot of soup to freeze for those quick winter dinners. So not much fun this weekend

UMMMM.... A touchy subject...LOL Before surgery it felt like I was missing something, I mean it was hard for me to feel anything if ya know what I mean. NOW SEX is great. Love it, can't get enough.... tend to wear the DH out. Ok now I am embarrassed!!! A great improvement, you not only feel sexier but you enjoy it because of that. I am still fairly large and have a huge panni and saggy boobies, but overall, DH loves me for who I am not my body, and that says enough.
Use to forms of BC if you have just had surgery as Rny patients (not sure of the others) have malabsorbtion issues and using the pill alone will not guarentee you safety and you don;t want to fall pregnant right out of the gates. Not healthy for you or the baby. Some ppl have gotten pregnant right off or before the standard 18 month rule and have done fine, but it is better to wait. Even having PCOS you can get pregnant as the weight coming off will definately help your cycles and your fertility.

Topic: Hi Everyone
Thought I would Introduce myself. I am Sherry-Lynn, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18. I am now 37 and change...LOL. My top weight was 375 before surgery. I had RNY 2 years ago almost 3 and I am down to 210. I was put on Metformin 1500mg when I was diagnosed with Hyper-Insullin-Resistance about ten yeas ago (give or take). Never really helped with taking off the weight, or for that matter anything other than help slow down the facial hair growth. This is really bad even to this day. Once I had my RNY, I still take the metformin and whoa, I get periods. No horrible periods, no long delays in between resulting in the period from hell and back, no bad cramping, etc. I am now an every 4-6 week kinda girl. Now on to the sad part. DH and I have been trying to concieve for 15 years. This past year (March 2009) I got pregnant with the help of clomid. That pregnancy ended in May 2009 due to a blighted ovum (placenta and gestational sac no embryo). I had stopped taking the metformin just prior to conceiving and believe that that was a result of a inmature egg releasing and the chromosones messed up because it released to early ending in a MC. I went back on the metformin and stayed on it and again started the clomid. It took us 5 months to fall pregnant again. Fast forward to Nov 2009, pregnant a second time. The doctor told me to stop taking the metformin now that I was pregnant, so stopped the end of Nov. Again I had a MC last week. This time we had an embryo approx 8 weeks gestation (I miscarried at 12 weeks) From the research I have done about Metformin and pregnancy (with the help of another member of this website) PCOS'ers should stay on the Metformin at least for the first trimester as we spontaneously abort the fetus. Who knew? And if you stay on Metformin until just before (a few weeks before) you deliver it may help ward off GD (Gestational Diabetes). I have talked with my Dr and he has agreed to let me stay on the metformin the 1st trimester next time around (if I can stock pile it I will stay on it the 2nd trimester too). Also he will have me on progesterone suppositories for the same time, as well as baby asprin. I will do anything to have a baby, it is and has been my dream. So I am not giving up hope yet. I was told when I was first diagnosed that I would never get pregnant having PCOS.....what a load of crock!!! Just need to fine tune my body, or in my case MAJOR tune it in...LOL
Sorry for this being so long but I just wanted to introduce myself and leave a bit to info for others.

Well 5 days post op..so my weekend won't be to full of fun itself..lol
Today (Friday) I am cleaning up around the house and completing homework for my classes. I hate the fact I missed a whole week of my Anatomy class but I think surgery was well worth it. lol
Saturday I will be attending my husbands grandfaters 83rd birthday ..that will be nice to get the entire family together since his grandma passed we haven't done that in a while. Later that night I think I will venture out to my BFF's house and maybe play a few games of Wii fitness (taking it easy ofcourse) and work on some of our art assignments for class.
Sunday so far looks like church and then take the kids to my in-laws for dinner afterwards. (ofcourse I will be sipping on clear liquids still) Then back home pick up around the house again. With 3 kids home for the weekend I know it will need it again.
Ok so sounds kinda like a full weekend after I typed it out..HMMM oh well I feel great for being 5 days out. I am sure all will be fine. Hope everyone else has a fun and safe weekend. LATER
