Are you happy with where your weight is now?  No - and I'm afraid to see my doctor at my next visit - he wants 3-4 lbs a week, and I've averaged 1 lb a week.

Just had my insulin resistance test today.  If I'm IR, then at least I understand where my challenge is...if I'm not IR...then I'm just not that big of a loser I guess :)

I had RNY a year ago January 2nd.I never had period problems tell I put on weight and then well you know how it goes.I would skip them or have bad ones for a month at a time with having to use meds to stop it.In October I started spotting through my pills when I have about seven left and then when I come off them I have a normal period for 4 or 5 days.I never had long ones.I wonder myself why Im doing this now.I go to the doctors on the 10th so I will find out when I go.I maybe on to high of a pill. Im on Ovcon 50 which is a very Strong dose.I just hope my body is wanting to go normal on its own and still not having problems with my PCOS.

Good luck to you all.

May my Angles rest in peace.....

Thanks for the replies ladies. Come to think of it I did have one slight episode of spotting a few weeks ago. Maybe that was my body working on things. I would love to pregnant now HOWEVER I am not planning on that at all. I am well aware of the risks and will be waiting. I just cant start my birth control back up until I get a period.

First of all, congrats on your RNY and loss so far!  That's amazing!  I hadn't had a period on my own since I stopped birth control in June 2008.  I had the sleeve surgery 16 weeks ago and have lost 74 lbs.  About two weeks ago I started spotting.  Some days it is a little heavier than others but never enough to go through more than 1 pantyliner at every restroom visit.  It is very frustrating because I don't want to be physical with my husband, but at the same time it is promising to me.  I had read about women becoming regular after surgery/weight loss and had hoped I would be one of them.  However, we are all different.  My body started spotting 14 weeks post-op.  Some women become regular just a few weeks post-op.  Maybe you will have a different story.  We are just along for the ride.  One thing is for sure - your body is doing something.  We just all react differently and our bodies may not exactly be "textbook".  Time will tell!  Good luck!

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
