~what will you and your spouse/or significant other be doing?
Well we took my son to "fight night" last night and my hunny took me to buy flowers after! LOL He even let me pick them!  Then because I was having a rough night with pain he was nice enough to rub my back for me!

~How will you be staying on track with your diet?
I made heart pancakes and heart eggs for everyone, along with heart toast and sweet v-day snacks to go with. I had cheese so I stuck to my diet! Other then a bite of the pancakes dipped in syrup!

~Will this v-day be any diffrent then others because you had wls/or are going to have wls?

Not really, He doesnt normally buy me any chocolates, Im a flower jewelry kinda girl so he has it easy!

Topic: RE: Any cysters pregnant after wls?

Me.  I went through 8 years of failed fertility treatments prior to my WLS 5.5 years ago.  I was resistant to clomid and responded poorly to injectables.  We'd about given up on having kids before my WLS.  At 1 year post op we were given the ok to ttc and I stopped the birthcontrol patch.  I started charting my temps and found that for the first time in my life not only were my periods regular but...I was ovulating on my own! At 16 months post op we decided to not use any protection and immediately got pregnant.  I had a healthy pregnancy & baby just days before my 2 year surgiversary.  Knowing how 'easy' I got pregnant I opted for a Mirena IUD for bc that was put in at 4m post partum.  I had that until our daughter was 1.5 and had it removed.  I was pregnant the next month (we made sure we prevented immediately to make sure I didn't get pregnant before my body could build a lining that could sustain a pregnancy so after my 1st natural period we ttc'ed again).  My OB's first words this time were 'already!?!'.  Again I had a healthy pregnancy & baby.  My daughters are my miracle babies.

Good luck with everything!

I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there who suffered infertility problems before wls but was able to conceive after losing the weight?  What is your story?

I'm looking for hope!  :)

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.

I'll be very curious to know how you feel in a week.  I will admit to you I do still use crystal lite. when I cut it out completely I found I wasn't getting near enough fluids in. So I made the choice to go ahead with the CL. I am just very picky about what else I eat. If you eat any processed foods at all you'll probably find some sort of sweetner in it. Even egg beaters have maltodextrin. So just make sure you're getting your fluids in.

Happy Valentine's weekend everyone!

Well, I have a really romantic thing planned tonight....my sleep study!  Since I live in a smaller town about an hour away from a metropolitan area, I opted for a weekend study and for the quickest date.

However, we are meeting my cousin for a Valentine's day lunch and some shopping Sunday after I'm done with my study.  Last night we finally spent our Christmas money on a wii! We stayed up until the "wii" hours of the night playing with our new toy!  Just like two junior high kids!  LOL

I am pre-op and need to finish up my testing and am waiting on my ins approval.  I am still eating a few "fun" things here and there, but also trying to be concsious of how I eat, chew and making sure I get protein at every meal at the advice of my dietician....I have an EDG on the 23rd....hoping to have my insurance pre-cert approved and surgery scheduled by the end of this month.

with much love,

ang

Just keep at it! I was lucky and didn't have a pre-op diet. I don't think I would have been a happy camper!

V-day will just be another day for us the majority of the time. DH usually gets me a little bag of candy, so that'll be different this year. Will have to see what he comes up with this year.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
