Oh god do I remember the nasty mouth! I was like that for a few months, like 6! I brushed my teeth often. Also bought those tongue brushes and carried them and sugar free mints in my purse! It will stop, soon!@

Yep...totally normal, you're in ketosis.  You can keep some SF breathmints around or something like that but really...it doesn't do much good.  The good news is that it's temporary and that once your weight loss stabilizes it's going to go away.

Well I am still a preop but I get nightsweats now and they are miserable.  My hubby is understanding of the throwing of the covers by now though.

Fans, Ice and walking on tile floor for the coolness.  Hope it gets better for you!

Chin Up as Charlotte would say and know that all of us cysters are with you and understand your need to vent as much as you need.

Thinking and praying for you.

Awesome! Best wishes to you for a quick recovery!

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.

I think wls is much bigger to the person going through it than anyone else. My family and friends are all very casual about it. And that actually makes me feel more comfortable. But I don't think they would understand if I was more private about it. Because other people don't get it - they can't get it. Perhaps your husband is looking for support from others? I know it can be a life altering change for spouses too.

I have taken a very open approach to my surgery and am glad I have. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise? But I do see why it upset you.
