Hey Girl

Keep your head high....Gosh that down right stinks.... Why won't your insurance renew the contract?!? I know when i got my paper from my surgery i actually had a whole year to get my surgery they would cover anything from 12/01/09-12/03/10
Well I don't know what to say, besides the doctor know what he/or she is doing so there must be a reason you have to get another test done.. the down fall is he won't be there....

Long story short my Dr. needed another blood test done and he is on vaca next week so he won't be able to view the results until the original date of surgery, I wouldn't be overly upset but... Our insurance is in talks with the hospital I am supposed to go to and there is a chance they won't renew the contract with them!  UGH!!!

I am sure there would be no harm in maybe finding something to hand out to get the word out.  My PCOS was over looked for years while I was gaining and gaining and gaining weight because my doctor was to ignorant to realize that I was telling the truth when I went to see her and had all these strange things wrong that she said was unrelated to eachother and it took me changing doctors to get diagnosed.  I am sure there are tons of women that have had this problem too and I would have been so greatful if someone would have made me aware.  It might have meant me having the tools a little earlier to deal with what I am going through now.

Hello there,

When I hear people explain the symptoms that they are having and it is very similar to PCOS I ask them if they have been diagnosed. I am not ashamed to talk about it with anyone, but I try to educate people and let them know that it is something they should look into with their doctor. I do not see a problem with you talking to women about PCOS in your Department store. It should be just considered casual conversation. But again, if I am asked if I have it I reply, yes, just because PCOS is something that I have had since I can remember. It is nothing to be ashamed of by any means, there are more women who have this condition out there than we know. Take care!

I am only a month out from surgery but I swear the hair has gotten WORSE! I have some facial hair on my chin but my problem is on my belly !YEA YEA I know GROSS!!! It seems like it is growing so much faster. I refuse to wax because I do not deal with pain well but I hope this goes away. Since the hair is on my belly nobody sees it but my husband which I am sure it grosses him out.

Topic: How Would You Feel.........?

Greeings Cysters:

I have not been very active here lately and I am going to work to change that.  Now that I am back to work I don't get as much puter time, {{{{{ big sigh}}}}}  I work at a large department store,  I sell jewelry, but I was listening to a couple of the cosmetic ladies talking about ladies with hair on their *****btw they weren't being rude at all! They were talking about solutions) So I started talking about PCOS, one had a friend that has all the symptoms, I told her to tell her friend to look it up online or she could come and talk to me.  Ok So......Here is my question:

If you are at a department store,  and one of the ladies putting make-up on you asks you if you have PCOS would you be offended?  Here is what I am thinking. I asolutely beleive that PCOS is a very underdiagnosed syndrom.  All three of the young ladies I was talking to had never heard of it.  These ladies are out there everyday, up close and personal with other ladies, they could quite possibly help ladies that have No Idea what is going on with them get diagnosed and then  start the proper treatments to help their symptoms.  First I am not sure that the Department store I work for would allow me to teach the ladies about pcos,  but if they do I need to know how would you feel if you were asked if you have it, and how do you think you would have felt if you were asked before you knew that you had it?

Thank You my friends & I look forward to your comments and suggestions

Be Well

I think since surgery mines gotten worse. But I also take a TON of biotin and I hear it encourages hair growth! I need it for the hair on my head, but think it makes the other stuff grow too!
Im hoping though, that after my big surgery on April 26th that the hair growth will all but go away! Maybe, depending on whats done. lol
I have to go in and get waxed, but sometimes they dont get those chin hairs, you know the ones that arent there one day and the next they are 2 inches long!

Unwanted hair has always been my problem!! Ugh, I cant stand it sometimes!! After the surgery it got worse, it was growing like crazy!! But now its not as bad, it pretty much the way it was before wls. I got my face waxed once and I broke out so bad from it so I can only treeze it. how does everyone else deal with it??
