My husband hates it as much as i do. Sometimes he will make a joke about it, but is always there to comfort me when i have my cry. I am taking the contraceptive pill and metformin, which are supposed to help, so far nothing tho. I am going in today for my first appointment for laser treatment. Today is just discussing the treatment and i go in on thursday for the first session. I am crossing my fingers it will help. I completely understand the hatred of the 5 o'clock shadow. I am very aware of it and always look at the ground hoping to hide... even tho its clearly visible.
For the last 3 weeks i have shaved the hair, but that is only because i am preparing for the laser. Before that i would wax.. could always see hair tho unfortunately as there is always some hair growing at different rates. At least it thinned it down and made me feel a little better.

Hello Ladys!!

A "HAIRY" Topic

What does your spouse say about your extra hair? Do they make funny remarks about it?
Are they mean to you about it? or very supportive??
Do you get embarrsed when you have the 5oclock shadow? What do you do for your "hair" Shave, bleach, wax, laser treatmeant?

*My husband is very supportive, it doesn't bother him at all..i will make stupid remarx like "i look like a man" or i'm so hairy and gross...he will tell me NO that i'm very beautiful and he loves me no matter what!" Leo has seen me with little hair, and lots of hair....I get embarrsed when i go out in public..i always shave before i got out...and put make up on after.. i don't like the 5oclock shadow...i wish i could snap my fingers and it go away**

Have a happy Week everyone!!!

Topic: RE: There is hope for us all,
I always almost had a period but for a month or so sometimes just 6 day sometime 30 sometimes 12 and about every few month I wouldn't have one.I even used  birth control to help but it didn't .I would say about 50 pounds down from surgery they started coming normal on their own and doctor said PCOS was gone so it was because of the weight.

No fertility treatments In I waited 16 months after my surgery and in July gave an ok and bam in four months time pregnant with twins.Twins run in the family my moms mom was a twin and  my grandpa sister my aunt was a twin.Six years of trying I just got lucky and I hope everything keeps going well.

Best of luck to you don't give up ......have they used any meds to help your period start.

May my Angles rest in peace.....

Hello my name is michele. I was diagnosed back in 2001. My husband and i had tried to have a baby for five years, then i found a specialist that put me on metformin and one year after that i got pregnant with my first daughter she was born nov 2007, then when i went in for my check up I found out i was pregnant again with my second daughter born dec 2008. I was on birth control when i got pregnant with my second daughter. Well the pcos is kickin my butt. it is so hard to loose weight. I work my butt off just to maintain my weight. So now i am in the process of wls. I have to do 6 month diet and exercise program for my insurance. which two down four to go. so in april they will submit my stuff to the insurance company for aproval.

Topic: RE: How have the RNY's done so far after surgery?
Hello!!
Welcome

Awsome Questions!!

I had RNY Jan 29th of 2010..So about a month shy of a year....
Start Weight
287;bs
Today's Weight
168.5
Total of 118.5lbs Gone

I can pretty much handle anything..I do however stay away from, pasta, rice, and bread, just my choice and rice hurts my pouch ALOT, i don't do candy, cookies, chocolate ect......

My PCOS still sucks!! :(

I had RNY to get healthy, and also to get pregnant..

I still don't have any periods :(
My facial hair is actually worse
So i have not seen any improvement since I've had surgery

Besides I'm healthier, TONS of energy, and I love life!!

Topic: How have the RNY's done so far after surgery?

I was wondering how those who had RNY done after surgery.
How far are you out now?
How much have you lost so far?
What kind of foods can you eat or tolerate right now?
How are your PCOS symptoms?

What symptoms do you still have?
What PCOS symptoms did you have before surgery?

I was wondering what foods everyone can tolerate because I am not very far out and I was wondering what it will be like when I get a little further out. I know everyone is different.

Be happy with who you are.
