its been awhile, since i'v started this support group
so i would like to do an update time
Feel free to write whatever you want!!
Update on me: Things are going amazing, i'm down to 213lbs, wow....can't wait to get 14lbs off and i will be under 200!!!! i exercise every day, i love love love hiking and walking....I'm in a size 16 pants however they are getting pretty big on me. I'v been working really hard to get my protein in... Don't get it in every single day but i'm working on it!! I have major hair loss :( thank gosh i have very very very thick hair!! Life has been crazy busy, my best friend is getting married in november and i'v been helping her she is also 5 1/2 months pg....The weather up in Minnesota has been fantastic. Things are going amazing with my hubby and i...

Good morning and happy Tuesday everyone.Hope all is well for everyone!
Im one year and three months out.I started at 260 and hit my lowest of 118. I go back and forth from 118 to 125 some weight play for me its nice to say that for once.I was not always heavy but always have had PCOS and now I have been told its gone so we will see come June when doctors give me an ok to have another baby as the tell me my son was a blessing who is now 7.I have been taken off my ovcon 50 highest dose of pill out there and been moved on to a normal pill and my acne is gone.I had had it since I was in 7 grade.

Sounds like you are doing GREAT!! Hope you get that job. I'm applying for some jobs this week as well (except, right now, I'm at home with a very sick little girl).
My update:
I'm almost 8 months po. I only have 3 pounds to go until goal. My size 8 pants are starting to get big on me. (I was in a size 18/20) I took a 5 mile walk the other day with my hubby and kids and it didn't bother me at all! I'm running and training for my first half marathon this fall. We are getting our garden in for the summer (can't wait for all the fresh veggies!!). Have less than a month until we head to visit my in-laws in The Netherlands. Busy, busy, busy. Thankfully I now have so much more energy!!

Update:
I will be 2 months out on the 22nd of this month. I started out at 248 and Im down to 200. The scale wont budge past 200 though! GRR I know it will come in time but I just want to be under 200. I just went shopping for a new pair of pants because my old clothes literally fell off of me. I went from a size 22 to a 16 in a 1 1/2 months. It is amazing what this surgery has done for me. I am still not seeing a major change, nor am I really feeling a major change, but everyday is a new day, and I tell myself I am getting healthier. My son has been sick for a few days now, I am taking my finals for my college classes, and I start my new courses this next week. All I can say is busy busy busy. Well that is about it for me!

Update on me.
My surgery got bumped from the 12th to the 30th of this month and I can't wait!! My highest weight was 244 and now I am 228. I am looking forward to the journey to a new me!
As for the PCOS I am still sick of the hair where it doesn't belong like my chest. Ugh! And of course my monthly cycle decided to start again after a year and half absence from my endometrial ablation.
Hoping that the surgery will balance things out and that I can stop taking my metformin.

Yesterday marked 6 months since my VSG surgery and I weighed in at 224 which puts my total weight loss at 100 lbs! Yahoo! You can check out pictures on my blog - link in signature. I saw the gyno/PCOS guy last week and he was very happy with my loss. He is running some labs to see how my hormones are doing. My hair loss has been pretty significant. I first noticed it on valentine's day - so 4 months out - and I'm still losing, though not nearly as much as I was. I also have really thick hair so it isn't noticeable to anyone but me.
Big news - I got my first unassisted period in 2 years this month!! YAHOO! Only PCOS gals would understand my excitement at this.
I can't wait to see if it continues - fingers crossed. This one was a period from hell - payback my doc said for all those months without one.

I started at 324lbs and a size 26. After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011. My second daughter was born in September 2013. I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs. I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter. The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls. My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
Hello everyone and Happy Tuesday. I am new to this group and I am just starting this process of trying to get approved for surgery. I have been over weight since 13 and I have also had PCOS since then too. I am currently on a 1500 calorie diet, I am now drinking only water and nothing else, and I have taken sugar completely out of my diet too. I have been on this for 2 weeks so far and doing great but I havent seen any results yet. I guess they want me to lose 37 pounds before sugery. It is nice to know that there are others who are like me.
Hello to Everyone..I'm Katie..new to the group..but thought I would start by posting here:)
I am 6 months out of surgery as of yesterday..I had lap RNY..and am doing wonderful. I am down from a size 30/32 on top to a 22/24 and am down from a tight 28 on bottom to a 20 in jeans :) Almost 100 pounds down..I feel so much better. I had my surgery for health reasons, but it has been nice to see the physical changes as well. I have had hairloss as well..and am having trouble getting my protein in..I hope this gets easier as time goes by.
My cycles were fairly regular before surgery..since surgery they have been less regular and much heavier..Dr says this is due to rapid weight loss and to give it a year to regulate again.
All is well otherwise in my world..I am getting on an airplane for the first time in 14 years next Wednesday to fly from Iowa to Michigan to see my best girlfriend. I am very excited and we have lots planned to do on my 10 day visit. I will post my story sometime soon to the board.

Hello lovely ladies! Well my surgery is schedule for May 26th and I can't wait. I have hair popping up in new and unusual places daily, lol. So wierd. Anyway I am hoping that will stop or go away or something. I am still in school and going to take a class online while at home healing. How long were you post ops with RNY down? Anyway take care!
