Good luck today! Im a lil slow sorry!
I had RNY and have lost a ton of weight, at times it was hard. But it does come off. I think anyone who has PCOS no matter what surgery they have will have a harder time getting it off because of the PCOS.
You dont have to be an over eater to get heavy. And PCOS isnt the only reason you are heavy either. Its a combination of things. Now Im not trying to say that mean! WHat I mean by that, and this is what the doc has told me, PCOS has made it easy to gain weight and a lot harder to lose it.
I was never an over eater, I was what I call a grazer. Tasting here and there, nibbles from the pan to make sure it tasted good, and so on. And before I knew it, 2 kids later and an extra 175 pounds, I needed to lose weight!
Im sure you will do great! Maybe try asking the same question on the VSG board? I dont know?
I remind myself daily that surgery is a tool, and I have to continue to use it, change my ways, exercise more then most just because of the pcos. But the weight coming off is very much worth it!

Hi

I had my Sleeve done on the 2/24 and I have been going good I think. Alot better than I thought I would with having PCOS.I don't know if I'm a "fast or slow loser" I have lost 39.9lbs all up and that's including the 2 weeks pre-op diet of optifast, I have stalled twice for 7-10days. I have noticed that I don't crave sugar or white carbs since my op. (but that's me, Everyone is different). I really am not liking the taste of sweets e.g chocolate, ice-cream etc.....

I watch what I eat and drink every day as I know this is a tool and I have to work it. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything as I was a HUGE eater before.

I hope that helps

Best wishes to all
