Night sweats hot flashes
So I am 6 days post op and the last 2 days have been experiencing night sweats and occasional hot flashes........anyone else experienced this? I have not gotten my period, I did think I was going to since I had swollen breasts and tenderness in the hospital.
I had a follow up with the surgeon today who just said my body was adjusting to a lot and these things happen but gave no explanatin even when I kept asking if it was hormonal. I have lost 20 lbs in the last 3 weeks- 10lbs on the pre-op diet and 10 lbs since surgery.

When i was in the hospital the first 3 days i actually needed a fan my mom had to go and buy a fan for me, and my room was as cold and the hospital could get it....but since then iv been freezing i belive its just our bodys in adjusting to all the changes its a pain in the but, and i hope it gets better....and if the surgeon was not worried...i wouldn't be to worried about it............try and keep yourself cool, use ice packs, take a cool shower..........but just remember to keep sipping your water ...sip sip sip

I didn't experience this, but there was a recent post on the VSG forum from a lady experiencing this a few weeks out of surgery. The responses indicated that this is normal, even of non-cysters. I think our bodies have a mind of their own right now and we are just along for the ride!
I started at 324lbs and a size 26. After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011. My second daughter was born in September 2013. I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs. I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter. The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls. My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
