I think your doing fine I was told anywhere from 6-9 lbs a week is normal in the beginning. I wouldnt stress yourself out. But I know how you feel. Today I am 4 weeks post op and I feel like I have hit my first plateau.I didn't think you could hit a plateau so soon out. My clothes are fitting better (or falling off) but the scale doesn't seem to be moving. I keep putting the blame off on mother's natures gift to women. (I hope its jus****er weight atleast)
Just follow your surgeons orders and I am sure you will do fine.Best of luck sweetie!!!

I sure hope you do better tomorrow! I had my days like that! I know with my weight loss, Im out 14 months now. I would lose weight and inches but never at the same time! Id lose 5 pounds, then stall and lose an inch then lose more weight, and so on!
I think we all have those emotional days in the beginning! Just keep sipping and getting in the protein, that's the most important!
I'm sending you some virtual hugs! I do hope you wake up feeling better in the am!

I hope your day ended on a high note. My doctor warned me that a stall could occur around weeks 3-4 and not to be concerned. You are doing FABULOUS!!
I started at 324lbs and a size 26. After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011. My second daughter was born in September 2013. I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs. I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter. The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls. My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
Sorry you had a bad day! I hope things are doing better. Sounds like you are doing great! I only lost about 21 pounds the first month so sounds like your doing good to me! Keep walking and sipping, things will start moving along.

Seriously? Did you read what you just wrote? "its a little over 2 weeks since surgery and I'm down 14lbs"...seriously...when was the last time you lost 14lb in that amount of time?
You're NORMAL!! You can't compare your weight loss to others...as hard as it is. Surgery and weight loss rates are as individual as we are and if you focus too much on how much you lost compared to this person and that person the only thing you're going to do is drive yourself insane. Don't focus on immediately giant losses.
If it gives you any consolation I lost 30lb my first month (40 if you include my pre op weight loss).
Don't worry...you're doing fine!

Teresa, tomorrow will be 3 weeks from my surgery and I have lost 18 lbs. I have been working out on the Wii fit plus when i can doing very limited yoga, aerobics, but mainly walking. I have had days just like you are having, hang in there it will improve. It's good to hear that talking with your husband has helped you out, along with everyone on here :)
