Hello Lady's!
Welcome

Happy Cold Thursday

Todays Topic: Have you ever got made fun of because of your facial hair?

This is a very touchy topic for me because i had facial hair all through high school. it was a sad time for me, because i swear it just would pop up out of no where i would use facial hair the night before my face would look normal and then bam the middle of the day i would look like a hairy man... i got called man, beadered lady, exspecally this one guy would always tell me to go shave i look nasty...it was horrible...now as an adult i don't get picked on but people do stare...so almost every time i go out of the house i make sure i have shave, plucked or anything to look normal...this world can be so cruel sometimes...anyone who is different people need to stare at or judge..only if they new why we had this and new our story's...maybe just maybe they wouldn't make fun of us...

I really didnt get too much hair on my face until after I got married. Kinda weird seeing I was diagnosed very young. I began to get the chin hair and the belly hair and omg I cant believe Im saying this but foot hairs. My husband doesnt say too much about it but I know it bothers him at times. I have never shaved, and never will! I always pluck, but knowing that I have hair is embarrasing. If I dont remember to pluck the hairs and I leave the house, I feel like hiding from everyone. It is horrible that we have to experience this but I guess if it doesnt kill you it will make you stronger.

Im laughing here. Not because you have hair, but because I too have the foot hair! lol, And I always thought it was just me and hated to tell people cause it was embarassing!
I dont get teased really, but lots of people look, Stare at me like theres something wrong. But I also have a skin problem, where just above my top lip I get a mark, looks like a bruise, also makes my hair look darker. It sucks!
I also refuse to shave, I pluck what I have to and randomly get waxings done...

Umm, yea let's see once my lovely brother noticed one I had missed for awhile and said I could put a bead on it.  OMG.  I hate it.  It used to be only blonde but now I get the lovely corse dark ones!  Belly, *****hest is my favorite NOT!  Thank goodness for wax!

I was recently introduced to sugaring. Someone told me to try it at home. You can find directions on how to do it at home.  I didnt because I was to afraid, but went in and paid 5 more to have the sugaring instead of waxing. It hurts a little less and lasts longer! You can sugar anything! Bikini line even! Also does not hurt your skin as much. And thats a good thing if you are sensitive like me! If I wax I stay red for 5 days, by the time the redness wears off I need a new waxing!
Should look into it and see if they offer it! If you do let me know what you think of it!

Hmm sugaring? Ive never heard of it but now Im curious. I hate waxing it hurts so much and I too stay red for a very long time... nothing like going to get waxed and then having to walk around with red swollen puffy skin. AHHH and the dreaded foot hair.... my husband tries to pluck it  LOL I hate it! Oh and the comment about the bead...that was classic. I think we as women just dont like to admit that we have faults but what we really dont realize is there are alot of others out there with the same situation and the same embarrasment. I love that Teresa does these topics because it allows for us to be open and talk about these things with eachother. Thank you all for being so kind already and I cant wait to start getting to know everyone... you have given me a little more hope about this site!!! HUGZ

I remember getting picked on in middle school. I tried to always wear my hair down but one day I wore a ponytail and this mean boy said I had a beard. My facial hair on the sides of my face started early. After that, my mom took me to get laser treatment. I only got a couple treatments but it helps thin out the hair. Since then I've shaved. I think about one year post-op I'm going to go back to laser.

I started at 324lbs and a size 26.  After losing 100 lbs, I became pregnant with my first daughter, who was born in March 2011.  My second daughter was born in September 2013.  I have maintained a healthy lifestyle and now hover around 160lbs.  I would like to get back to the 140lbs before I became pregnant with my second daughter.  The sleeve literally gave me LIFE - two beautiful, healthy little girls.  My husband had his VSG with Dr. Marema on 10/1/2012 and is on his weight loss journey, currently down 90lbs.
