Hi all... I'm realitively new to OH and was just browsing through and found your group.

I had PCOS, but had a full hysterectomy in 2002 due to Adenomyosis. I still deal with the hair on chin and neck though.

I didn't start my cycles until I was 15. Never regular, months in between cycles. My first long facial hairs showed up around 18yrs old.

I wasn't diagnosed with PCOS until after I gave birth to my daughter Jaime when I was 22. I didn't have another cycle after having her for 10 months.  I didn't know it at the time, but I went into menopause... I thought I was going insane!!!  Confused, couldn't make a decision, dizzy (almost but never fainted) and cried often (totally not me!)  I went first to my regular dr thinking something must be seriously wrong.  When they asked when my last cycle was they almost fainted!  My GYN was brought in and they put me on Birth Control and told me I had PCOS (Although no one called it that then..)

Years later in the mid-nineties I found Herbalife Nutritional Program trying (again) to lose weight. After 2 months on Herbalife and for several years while continuing the maintence program I was having regular cycles!  So PCOS is definetly another nutrtional deficiency syndrome.

However, the Adenomyosis reared it's claws and I started heavy bleeding with clotting and extreme pain. After years of testing... and another CAT Scan I was finally told my symptoms were "highly indictive of Adenomyosis".  (Since it can't be actually diagnosed until pathology of the full uterus) I had the full hysterectomy and began HRT (which I'm off now.)

More info than you probably wanted to know... my point being as WLS patients, we know how important nutrition is.  Make sure your using highly soluable full nutrition vitamin supplments and your symtoms my subside some or even entirely!

Best wishes for everyone on their journey for better health and happiness!
