mega acne

so i was just wondering if anyone else had mega acne.   I'm still awaiting the results of the blood tests, sleep study and ultrasound i find out Friday.   i don't think my doctor will refer me for an rny so i don't have my hopes up on that :(
one of the worst things is my acne and lack of sex drive..  my acne has never been this bad. they are huge white pimples everywhere. and i cant help by pop them :( so I'm turning my face into a crater.   has anyone else had severe acne with the pcos?  and if so did your doctor prescribe anything?  I've been on clindoxyl when i was a teenager but my acne settled down and so i stopped using it. but now since the summer its been awful and ugly i don't even want to go outside with it.   and i wanted to know what do you think the chances are of correcting the weight and acne, sex drive no period etc without surgery..and just taking medicine?   I'm 24 years old and at this point i don't think my doctor will refer me to a surgeon for an rny when i talked to them the first time they wouldn't give me the time of day with it.   i haven't been diagnosed with pcos yet but i sure do have all the symptoms my weight right now is 245lbs and I'm 4'11''  thanks for reading

My first question WHY won't he refer you for RNY? You are over 40 BMI Which should be one of the big hurdles. I know things are different with the Canadian medical coverage, but I thought (perhaps mistakenly) that they were fairly similar in what they need for WLS coverages? Is it a personal thing for your Dr (i.e. does he just not believe anyone should have WLS and therefore does not refer anyone for it? or do you have extenuating medical cir****tances (you don't have to tell me, just keep that in mind).

I did have bad acne in high school and for a couple of years after, but it did finally clear up and I very seldom suffer from any re-occurances now (usually only during a period or a pregnancy, when my hormone's are even wackier than they normally are).

Lack of sex drive can be several things. I do on occasion suffer from that (poor hubby deals with it well). Although it is much better now (I don't know if I should say it is do to my surgery or if it is the mega doses of vitamins I do now that I didn't do before.)

Thanks for the reply,  ya i had very bad acne when i was a teenager and then it went away and i had great sking but since july/august its gotten worse than i had in highschool.. :(   they are huge white pimples, and when poped they turn into big scabs bigger then the pimple, which i never had with my acne in highschool.

as for the rny, i think it is just my doc, everytime i ask they just say they want to go through more tests.  i have to see a nutritionist as well on Friday. Ive already had an ultrasound, sleep study and blood work, i get those results on friday as well i'm gonna ask again for the referral.  i dont have any huge medical probs, my blood pressure is fine, no diabetes, just a high BMI and the PCOS symptoms.

My sex drive is pretty bad we maybe get some in every two months. It's aweful and i feel horribal for my boyfriend.  Maybe they will be able to put me on somthing

If  the Dr. won't give you a referral is there a chance you can switch Dr.'s to one who is more WLS friendly? Of course if any of the tests show you have any problems, you can force the referral issue.
Even if you don't have other med problems, the older you get the more likely they are to show up. I didn't have any problems until the last year or so and then my bloodsugar started going up, so I wanted to nip it in the bud! That was just less than a year ago, had surgery in Sept, and my bloodsugars are down to normal again.

Do you take any vitamins at all? you might have your levels checked, some low vitamin levels may account for some of the low sex drive. Please let us know how things go on Friday!

to change doctors here would take a lifetime there isn't enough here.  I've been with this doctor since i was born he delivered me, and two other family members have him as well.   as for vitamins yes i take  vitamin D, B12, Felic Acid, and a mu ti vitamin.  i usually only take the vitamin D in the winter time because i have Seasonal Affect Disorder but i was told i should take it all year..
