Hi Mike you can do it. I lke the protein from Costco I add some of the sugar free syrups I get at cash and carry they also make a big difference. The vitamins will smell even worse after wls so keep practicing lol.

Well am getting ready to start my two week diet / detox. I am so excited that I can hardly stand it. I found that the protein shakes from Costco taste WAY better than the one from the fitness store. I need to invest in clothes pins so I don't have to smell my vitamins.

Hi Cathy! Thank you for the invite to your group! I am not sure how OH's layouts work but small groups online are an excellent way to bring in news and information that you want to focus on. It also works as a great tool bringing in new members to visit your local group. I have created a few wiki's, a couple of them I use to coach, the others are for simple sharing. When I originally  decided to create a Weight Loss Coaching group online, I was using a blog space provided by the group I was in, Shoutlife.com, however it was so limited as to what we could do in the group. When I discovered the wiki's, it opened up so many more possibilities of what the online group could actually do, and offered me more tools to keep assignments organized. I do still keep my group open and listed in Shoutlife to direct traffic, but I move everyone to the wiki to get started on our change in progress. Creating and building groups is a lot of fun, it is kinda like starting with a empty room and being able to decorate it with all new stuff! They can be very effective as well, especially if you get members that join in and participate, making it their own space as well. There is nothing like sharing! When the weather changes to a warmer state, perhaps I could come and visit your home group, I would love to meet you all. The one thing I do not like about not having weight, I am no longer insulated and it is just too cold for me! I told my daughter that she better move to a warm winter climate when she grows up so I can move in with her! Check out my wiki if you would like, to get some ideas for your group here. "The Power House" I am also sending you the link to my website, Sprouting Growth I do have some books listed under Wellness & More Store listed that are great for life after WLS. I do read a lot of books, it really helps me with my coaching. Have Fun! Joie Lehman CCLC

Hi Paul and Cathy, I have to agree with you both, support groups are great to have.. if you have a question that requires a lot of feed back those big rooms are great.. but to get that home feeling its great to have a place to go.. you're right Cathy it is great to know we have someone just right around the corner.. sometimes litterally.. lol

Have a Blessed Day!!

Thanks for joining Paul we have quit a few men in our group this wls is not just for women. My DH just had RNY on Jan 1. He is doing great. I like the home town feel also.  If you need to call someone and go have a cup of coffee or whatever it nice to know someone is near not in Kentucky or somewhere far away. I do like having friends all over the world but home and hugs are great.

I think it's cool to have this group.  I really like going to the mens page but having a Mo-town group is gonna be great.  I know it will have the small town feel that I like about Modesto, the main boards are too darn big.

Thanks Cathy

Paul

What do you all think of the new group and our new logo. This is only the begining the OH is going to add new features as we go along.
