Topic: Two Years
So my two year anniversary was the 14th of this month. I haven't been on the site for a while. I wanted to check in and let those thinking about WLS or recently post-op know that life is good! I have been blessed to not have had any issues other than I am hypoglycemic now. That is very easily treated by just paying attention to what I eat and I quickly learned how to recognize when my blood sugar was dropping.
I tipped the scales at 365 at my heaviest. I dropped to 220 at my lowest weight. I was stable at around 230 until the holidays, when I will admit my exercise level was way low while my food intake went up. I am back on my program now and feeling great as I drop those extra holiday pounds. Last summer I ran a 10k, finishing in just over an hour. I am now training for a 1/2 marathon set for June and will do several 5 and 10k's along the way.
This has been one of the best decisions I ever made and I wouldn't change one bit of the experience.
If you are in process and have questions please feel free to contact me. My door is always open.
Good luck to all!

Topic: Let's Party
Hi Everyone, I am so excited to have the opportunity to get us together to have some fun and get to know each other. I will be giving out Wether's Candy for those who would like it for there family. We will be tasting MonaVie and taking a little about it. I am excited about how it works for wls patients. It seems to have been made for us lol nutrition in a bottle. We had a presentation at our last meeting it is truly amazing how much better I feel and how full of energy I am.

Topic: Slender Xpress (xposted)
A Slender Xpress just opened in my neighborhood and someone stopped by work with some special offer flyers the other day. The monthly rate was decent ($49, I still have to find out about contracts) and supposedly they are specially trained to work with bariatric patients.
I'm 11 weeks out and 68lbs down but am still not confident about working out in public but I do like the fact that these centers are for women only and included in the monthly fee is unlimited workouts with a trainer, unlimited tanning, free body wraps and towel service (whatever that is lol). I'm wondering if anyone here is been to a Slender Xpress and how you liked/did not like it and how it compares to other gyms. Any information you could share would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks Kim, from what i've read I have a 250.00 per day hospital stay, which I think would be worth it! Still waiting to hear back..
