NORTHERN ONTARIO BARIATRIC SUPPORT GROUP
North Bay and area support group?
Hi there,
I am just wondering if there is a support group in the North Bay area. I originally thought there might be, but was told in November that it had stopped meeting. I was promised a call back from the person who offered to be my contact, but I haven't heard from her since.
I hope someone here can help me.

Hi, I had surgery in Toronto in October and have lost 93 lbs. I'd really like to find a support group here in North Bay as well. I'm afraid that I'm falling into bad habits again. My goal weight is 150 lbs but I can't seem to drop below 206 lbs. I'll be seeing the dietician in May but it would be nice to know if anyone else is experiencing this?

I am doing very well ... one sore spot yet, (surgery was this past Monday) so I can't complain. Learning to listen to my body is a new challenge for me. I've never been very good at doing that ... I usually just push on, pain or no pain, because I have been so rarely without it. I don't regret going for the surgery ... I feel I am doing better now, than I have with previous surgeries. I've very happy with my results ... I will be posting an update later this evening for everyone to see ... :)
Well that's the spirit!! The gash on the left side was the sorest for me and it took a little longer to heal for both my surgeries (putting in and taking out a lap band) Make sure to take your pain pills and get plenty of rest especially the first week. Walking around is really important too but don't overdo it:) Take care!
