lapband to sleeve in mexico

I had a lapband surgery in Toronto, to make a long story short, it failed me.  I removed it in April 2013 and made a decision to go to Mexico.  My BMI at this point is lower so I had no choice but to be self pay.  I had plastic surgery in Mexico Tijuana already and my doctor recommended a bariatric surgeon, Dr F. Hurtado.  He is fairly new to Canadian clients.  I went to TJ in November 2012 with my friend and Dr FH did her sleeve, she lost 75 pounds within first 6 months.  I decided to save up my pennies and go ahead with my decision.  My surgery was on January 7th this year.  Even though I am 5'1" and weigh 178, I lost first 20 to the date.  Lowest I have been in 30 years and weight I nver reached with a lapband for 4 years.  I am very happy with this decision.  If you ever hesitated to go to Mexico, I can assure you have nothing to worry about.  I went there 2 times for cosmetics and 1 time for sleeve.  There were many patients in Recovery House (which is licenced and has nurses on staff 24/7) who were from Alberta.
