My "suggested" diet is pretty much like any diet, my "perferred" diet is just that-what i perfer LOL.
My actual diet has been a combination of both here lately.  With the band its supposed to make us less hungry and able to eat less (when we have optimal restricton)  but at this point, I dont have it so at any time i can eat whatever and how much ever I want to.  I need to wire my jaw shut!!  But then again i would probably melt down the choclate and free base it LOL.  Where thers a will theres a way....I just gotta refocus my will!

thanks for the enouragement!  That s what I need more than  anything!
Have a GREAT week!
Renee

Step away from teh Chocolate!!!  You can do it.  I am not sure how your diet diffres from a VSG diet so I dont know what to say other than that LOL  But you have been working your butt off and I know you can get there.

Topic: Hey Onederlanders!

Its been a rough couple of weeks.  I am praying things are back on track.  Augusta has survived another Masters week/Spring Break.  Hopefully the chocolate bunnies are all melted somewhere!
I  am ready to kick my own butt!!   I will hit boxing tonight and then possibly walk at Brigham afterwards.

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I know its NOT going to be good.  So i really do need to kick it up a notch -or two- this week, well this month!

I leave for my cruise May 25, so I really would like to have a 20 lb loss between now and then.  I KNOW its a stretch, but if I could keep the chocolate out of my sight I can do it!!!!  So here is where I need your help Onederlanders, please do whatever it takes to keep me accountable!  Call me, question me, e mail me whatever it takes.  I need to see the scale move this month!!!

Love ya'll

Renee

Sometimes the hardest part is recognizing and admitting where the problem lies.  Once we do that its a matter of taking the bull by the horns so to speak and getting  moving in the right direction!
You are half way there!  get back to working out you will feel (and do) so much better!!

Hang in there!

Well it is finally happening to me it looks like.   I am almost 6 months out (on the 22nd) and I am not staying at my 2 lbs a week.  I did not lose anything last week.  Aunt Flo is here but I am sure that is not all of it.  I am going back to basics and watching my carbs and protein.  I had gotten kind of slack on my carbs and they were creeping up on me.  My exercise has been eratic at best.   which I know is not good.    I am working to get things back on track so that I can get my weight moving better.  I promise to do better!!!

Thanks for the great ideas!  I went to my nut yesterday and she suggested mixing craisons with almonds or soy nuts.  She also said to check out other nonsweatened dried fruits for snacks.  My protein numbers (from my labs) were great, but I need to eat more fruits!  So...I made up a bunch of snack bags with dried fruit and nuts.  We'll see how that works.

Breakfast was cheese grits
lunch was skipped---------got my hair done
dinner was pizza---
bad eating day, today will be better!
Note to self:  dont skip lunch-------i was way too hungry at 9pm!
