Here, here! (or is it hear, hear never know!)
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
I'll be having RNY. Thanks for asking.
Elizabeth
My surgeon recommended I was tested every 6 months, but that will be entirely off my own back - I will need to instigate it with the docs. I'll be glad to do it - then I will know where I'm at with my vits, and I can maybe play around with dropping some of them, well thats the dream.

I know DS people need to have these regularly but do the rest of you? On the US boards, everyone seems to be having blood tests all the time! For everything!!
I have never had a single one post-op! Or pre-op for that matter. I don't think I have ever been tested for any nutritional thing other than iron (for cholestrol etc, yes but I am talking about Vits , minerals etc.). I don't know whether that is because as a bandster I don't malabsorb or because the UK is less test-mad than the US.
Who apart from DSers has regular blood tests here? I suppose RNY malabsorb so perhaps you RNYers do? What about VSGers? Other bandsters?

Yes, I like the being in control bit! That's why things like DS would never have been my choice.

Which surgery are you having, Elizabeth? There may not be many of us on here but I think we now have somone from all 4 surgery types and so there will be someone further down the road for you to ask questions of!
