Gosh, you RNYers! How incredible to write that you lost 7lbs this week and "only" 2 last week! We bandsters don't aspire to those levels!!

Kate

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Cilantro is an herb used in Mexican cooking--it looks like parsley, but has a very pungent odor.  You can probably find it dried in the spice section of your supermarket.

The turkey is a much milder taste than beef, but is better for us because it has less fat in the meat.

Good luck!

Yes, I love chilli and it is one of my more regular meals, never tried it with turkey mince though - so I think I'll give that a go this week.  BTW what is cilantro

Hey, Binty, do you ever do any chili or Lentil soups?  I find that those are pretty easy and I can make up POTSFUL and not only have enough to feed a family, I can have leftovers for myself too.

I like to use ground beef or ground turkey as the base, and then throw in all kinds of beans, tomatoes, onions, celery, cumin, cilantro, and oregano.  Yum!  I'[m working on a potful now that I've gotten 4 meals out of so far!

Good idea!  My old workplace used to have a motto posted:  "Failure to Plan is Planning to Fail" and that really seems to be a good thing to remember for us.

Have fun.  And yes, post the menu so we can all see it!  I'd be interested in seeing how the folks in the UK do their meals.

Sux to be in the UK in too early for spring/too late for winter.

My sister and her hubby live up in Portland, Oregon, which has the same kind of weather as you have.  They got a Wii and use it all the time to play golf--she waxes him!  But he's getting better, since he stopped throwing the controller across the living room!  LOL.

Have fun

OOOOHHH I'm jealous, sounds idyllic. Good luck with the walking, I'll probably have to resort to the wii fit because its wet and miserable and grey and far too cold to venture out.

OK OK OK--every other day for 45 minutes which comes out to 2 miles a day and gives time for petting the neighborhood pooches who come out to say hello, stopping to admire the sailboats off Twin Lakes Beach, and admiring the spring flowers in gardens as I go by.

Well Paul, I'm not quite sure that your lack of photos is acceptable at this stage.  Maybe a sneak peak at your menu plan would appease my wrath!!!! My food choices are getting a little stale.

I will be going back to work next Friday, so I'll be working hard to keep up with my 2x1 mile walks a day, and a 5 mile walk on weekends.  I want to start a weekly meal plan which will make shopping easier.  As part of this there'll be no picking, I've been so guilty of it this week!  Help!!!  I still need to upddate my photos, sorry Binty.
