You are so right...the mental side of the journey takes longer indeed. I think it is probably something that is never really "finished"-but the learning must be in the journey part!

Paul, it was great! Being a very self-motivated group of "gals" in the main, there was not a single fat person there (out of over 400 women). IThe old me would have been excrutiatingly embarrassed.

LOL, yes in a past life - and a future life for that matter it really is quite a ludicrous statement, and one that I would've usually offered a slap for. I certainly never thought I'd be the one sayingn it!!!

Hi, T,    seems apposite to paste what I just put on the lb board! (Over explanation about education was for US readers!)..

Later today I am going to a Garden Party for a school reunion. School for us usually means 11-18 year old education.

I went to a Grammar School (selective entry so the 20% most intellectually able) and so all the old "girls" will have done well for themselves. And those who aren't high flyers themselves will almost certainly be married to men who are (40 years ago that was the way it quite often went!).

I am going to meet people I have not met for 40 years!! Plus a few I see quite often. But with the ones I haven't seen since I was 18,  I AM NOT GOING TO BE EMBARRASSED BY MY SIZE!  They won't know I have lost weight because I am the same size now I was when I left school - they just never saw me in the middle!

Four years ago, I would not have attended the reunion! Too ashamed! Now i am going with my head held high ready to have a great time!

Thank you, band!
