I've just spent the most glorious day at a cricket tournament for one of the twins. DH, the twins and my daughter sat in the dappled shade which surrounded the cricket field, along with an obscene amount of picnic food, and all the other parents, with whom I get on fabulously. It was held in a quaint Northants old sandstone village, with the church overlooking us with the bells ringing for most of the afternoon, and plenty of good natured gossip and scandal. It was nigh on perfect, and all the bin lids had a whale of a time.

You're on! Just looked at a map and Oxfordshire is between us and so good place to meet?? Or is London easier?

BUT - my daughter is due to give birth on the 28th June and we are required to look after her (C section) and her toddler! So if she doesn't go into labour early, taht will be up to the second week fo August. And my son is due home from NZ (not seen him for a year) at the beginning of June!!

So despite my thread, life is probably too full for the next two months or so!

You are a child minder, right?  So presumably it is only weekends you are free?

By the way, did you claim for your purse?

I'm kinda near-ish, Northants, we sort of half spoke before about meeting up, but I didn't want to pu**** to fast or too much cos I thought you have given years of support to all us newbies and that probably feels like a bit of a weight on your shoulders sometimes.

Although I'm still in the honeymoon period, I am well and truly settled in this whole wls thing, and would love to meet up and share experiences, rather than just bombard someone with insecurities and questions.  So lets do it - lets meet up it would be lovely to have a proper chat, instead of a disjointed chat room talk.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun.  I love the English gardens.

Here in Santa Cruz, CA, the weather is usually pretty nice.  The city is located on the south-facing curve of Monterey Bay, so it stays pretty nice even when Monterey is fogged in.

I'm not affiliated with the UK in any way except by having had the opportunity to visit for 3 weeks i*****  I loved it, but there just wasn't enough time to see everything I wanted to see.

I enjoy learning about other cultures, and ours are just different enough to be interesting!  Especially the language differences!

Hope you don't mind my dropping by.

Have a great summer.  Oh, by the way, thanks for converting the Centigrade to Farenheit;  I hate having to do the math for conversion!

I live in West Berkshire.

And  am fed up with not having anyone I actually know who has had wls! ANY wls!  I did have a few band friends at first and we used to meet in London. But one emigrated to the US, one produced a baby and dropped out of sight and the other had a lot of domestic issues (illness in her partners family) and more or less vanished!

A colleague at work, one of the very few who know I am banded, is just starting the band process. And I will support her all I can. But i would so love to meet up with someone who can chat about post-wls life! I feel that I have been on my own for 4 years (4 years exactly today!).

26C here yesterday and 28 forecast for today (82F). Glorious blue skies!

Visitors for the weekend and so spent yesterday visitng a NT property (450 year old manor house with 900 year old buildings with wonderful series of walled gardens with magnificent wisteria and large bluebell woods).

Today will read the Sunday Times in the garden; that now comes with so many supplements it can be shared among the four of us and keep us all reading for the morning! Then walk into the beautiful West Berkshire countryside; literally 3 minutes from our house.

When we get the weather, the British countryside is exquisite!

How is your weather?  Are you yourself connected to the UK in some way?

I've been reading online that the temps are finally getting warm enough to enjoy life outdoors;  what are you folks doing for fun in the UK?

Here in Good Ol' Santa Cruz I'm going to a local restaurant with an outside deck, having lunch with a Citron Lemonade (Whew! Lights out for me!) and watching the boats, seals and beachwalkers go by.

Hope you're all having a wonderful time.

Now you are asking a difficult Q! I have never bought any! I eat them at Wagamama etc and have had them at friends' houses but never bought any! I googled it and apparently it should be endamame!

So if I find them i will tell you and if you find them - please tell me!!
