Hi Kate
Bu**er Bognor - it's WINDY!!!  Not impressed, no sir!  Will get on the scales tomorrow then plan for a more rigourous Atkins as I'd like to lose ten more pounds before plateauing.  Would a plus or minus 7 pounds around my target weight be reasonable?  I don't want to be obsessive, and I think that this level of permissable weight range will keep me in the same sort of size clothes.
Hope you're keeping well.

I like the Pour Moi swimming costumes. Not old lady but they have some with a proper bra, complete with fastenings and adjustable, not just formed cups. After 4 children and going from a 46DD to a 36C, I need a bit of help.

Sorry, Paul! TMI for you!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Oh I don't know. Bognor may not have an Eiffel Tower but it probably has candy floss and zimmer frames. And 90F really  is a bit too hot.

And it is probably not true that the last ŵords of George V as he lay dying and was advised to go to the seaside were "B*g*er Bognor".

Have fun, Kate.

Sounds like a plan!  I want to win the lottery and hire a personal trainer....  Let us know how the swimming goes.

Hi all,

I am "still here". A billion and one other things have gotten in the way of checking in, however...history tells me that when TOO much gets in the way of checking back in, it's NOT the best thing!!

I wanted to see what you are all up to and are you watching the olympics???
I have been GLUED to them. I have this new found feeling that I need to get myself to the gym!

OK, also? I found these swimsuits that cover EVERYTHING! They are made for folks that want modesty and are sold here in the UK.

I have allowed myself to stay away from the gym pool, because of being so embarssed about my VERY pale and VERY loose skin. Now-I dont' have an excuse. I've just got myself a new card that will enable me a discount too.

Next step? ORDER the damn bathing suit and PUT it ON and GET into the pool!!

Hugs,
Peace,
T

Five days in Paris, temperatures in the high 90s.  No weight gain, nibbled whatever I wanted.  Great lesson learned, enjoy the nibble rather than scoff the lot!  Janice scoffed and put on 5 pounds....  Bognor next week.  Won't be quite like France.

Thanks for the advice.  As part of the hotel deal we have a one-day ticket for the boat, so we'll use that.  We also plan to use the circular tourist buses for hopping on and off.
We fly Sunday evening, first experience with a budget airline...
Have Binty and MissRedd abandoned us?

Glad all still good on the VSG front! You have done so wonderfully well!

Paris is great! Warning, usually very hot end of July, August. It's a very walkable city. One good way, depending on where you are staying, is to take a bateau mouche ( river boat!) down or upstream and then walk back, doing the sights along the way. Some bits are just so crowded! Like Montmartre and Sacre Coeur, but still worth seeing.

Have a great time!
