That is some loss, Vicky!! Forget the 38lbs and just try to imagine the wedding dress you would have had to wear if you had not had the WLS!!!
We require lots of photos after the event. And here's hoping for Mexico!

You've come so far in such a short space of time - it takes while for our heads and emotions to catch up with our bodies doesn't it.
The pictures say it all - congratulations
RuthThank you very much, I think im stalling this week (I know crazy talk on a Monday) but its probs more a case of my mind playing catch up again, Its been a rollercoaster, need to settle down and catch up.

Vicky,
150 lbs in 10 months is nothing to beat yourself up about. Don't worry if you don't reach your goal by your surgiversary, you'll get there. Congratulations on all your success and on your wedding!

Stephanie

Hi Ruth!
Thanks for the kind welcome. I've been living in London just about a year, studying as a postgraduate at the LSE. I haven't had too many chances to visit places outside of London, but I absolutely love it here. I'd be lying if I didn't say I had some issues with the food choices at first and the weather (particularly in the winter) was such a bummer but we have had some glorious spring days lately which I have really enjoyed trotting around the city. The history, the museums, the nightlife - just wonderful.
I had my RNY in my hometown of Boston. It's been interesting trying to navigate the grocery stores here and come up with meals and substitutions that are WLS friendly because there isn't as much available that is low/no sugar or lower fat but I've managed just fine.
What has your experience with surgery been? And when you're home in Britain what are your favorite WLS foods, snacks, etc.?
