Well, let me tell you-I LOVE a gabber!! I can really appreciate that. :)

I just went to check out Michael Ball's website and I see that I COULD Easily become a fan!! I need someone to take me by the hand and educate me in all things FAB and Wonderful over here in the UK.

I LOVE music and musicals and broadway too! Maybe we are kindreds??

I am SO glad to have you here and you sound like you are doing VERY well! All of this takes time and there is NO proof that losing weight super fast is some how better than an even step by step process. Stalls can last a long time and then POOF-you are moving again. Our bodies have amazing ways to protect us. Poor bodies-surely try and serve us well.

SO sorry to hear you have had a tummy bug too!! Awful indeed! Hope you will be feeling better soon.

THANKS for your post and WELCOME!!

Peace,
T

Chopped nuts & cherries if desired

Fold all ingredients together & pour into a greased & lined baking tin

Just joined here & thought I would jump in with a bit about myself ...

In what area do you live?  I live in Sudbury, Suffolk, East Anglia, UK!!!  Just moved  here about 6 weeks ago - was originally about 20 miles away in Ipswich (feels like the other side of the country at the moment though! )
What brought you to OH? I had an RNY Bypass a year ago & you can never share/get too much information - there should be more of it about!

Where are you in the process of Weight Loss Surgery? A year on from my bypass I have lost 7stone (to us Brits!!) or 98lbs - not quite the 100 yet!!  It ain't brilliant but it's fine by me - I am soooo much healthier that it isn't the end of the world if I didn't lose any more (but that doesn't stop me trying

What are your areas of greatest struggle currently? Having said the above - I haven't lost anything since February until the past couple of weeks when I have lost 7lbs due to a stomach bug!!

What are your hobbies? I LOVE Michael Ball!!  Other than that .. er, not much!  Ebay is a hobby I guess too!  Also, I run a Weight Loss Surgery Support Group which I set up myself last year!

What would be helpful for you here on this UK site as far as support goes? Hey, it's just great to know there's someone/something out there - cos the medical profession certainly doesn't help!!

Anything else you would like to share about your self to help us get to know you better?
I am an open book - anyone wants to know anything, please feel free to ask away!  Would be great to have some input to my Support Group website (unsure if I am allowed to post addy here - but it IS in cyberspace!

Great to be here & I look forward to taking part & joining is stuff!

Come on guys, get posting!!

I'll crash LOL

I think once I have gotten close to goal and not gained it all back I can step back and look at what I have done with fondness.

Topic: RE: What do you do to break a plateau?
I have no single activity to break a stall, I just mix up what I did last week if it didnt work, so more hills, less cals, diffrent sleep patterns, more sprinting, bon training etc etc, It all works but if you do it week after week it will stall so just keep mixin it up

The Following is taken from my blog

Website:

Pretty soon my whole blog will be moving:

Go there and check out it and let me know your thoughts, I will keep updating both sites at the same time but before too long this one will no longer be updated so please change your links/bookmarks etc.

Bonk Training:

As promised I will keep as updated with this as I can, Well last week I dropped 6 lbs, This week 3lbs, I’m happy with this weeks, After a big loss the following week is always less and add to the fact last week I rode the Manchester 100 so again that helped in the 6 lbs loss where as this week I didn’t, Bonk Training can be hard going by the end of the week but so far, so good.

SPD’s

Yesterday I took my SPD pedals off my Surosa and put them on the Ribble, I went up and down my road a couple of times to make sure I had the pedals on right and as I stopped outside my house, by accident my left leg had clipped back in, for some reason as opposed to leaning to the right I lent to the left……and eat a face full of tarmac…..It was a slow fall and I wasn’t moving so no harm done and I’m glad I have had my first fall now, no fear and I’m also glad Joby wasn’t about :)

Sunday Best:

Because of home life issues Its really hard to get out and ride at the weekend, However today I was blessed with the chance of a 45 min ride and AMAZING weather.

Turns out I wouldn’t need 45 Mins, I set off for a Mottram Hill Loop ride and half way up the hill I knew I was in for a good time, I was passed by a shaved roadie and for about 2 mins I clung to his back wheel at 13 mph (a good speed for such a hill) he then opened the taps and showed me how to climb hills.

30965395

I made it to the top in 8 Mins and 47 seconds and im pretty sure that was PB number 1 for the day.

The rest of the 7 mile ride just FLEW by, I hit 37MPH at one point but my eyes started to water pretty back so I was forced to slow down.

30965680

I was just about home and I noticed I was quick, REAL quick, I went up a few gears and sprinted like hell, much better in spds, and passed the “finish line" in 26 Mins 53 Seconds, PB Number 2.

I decided to take a picture of the “half way" point of my first ever ride, It was at the bottom of this slope, no more than 0.30 miles from my house but WOW was I chuffed (and exhausted) when I first rode it.

I just cant believe how far I have come sometimes.
