Yes I know its very hard to listen to the same thing over and over and The feeling sorry for themselves but its hard I don't know how you guys do it with such little support ...I take something from each story tips and tricks and not to do this or that how someone coped with this issue ...what I am saying is we learn from others victories and failures and how could it hurt to share ??? Don't worry I won't post any GOD posts ...lol But I am glad to meet you both

I can see the differences would be difficult but we can come together for one commonality we want to be healthy and tips and tricks that make this journey easier for us instead of the school of hard knocks ...I learned the hard way so should everyone else But I get you guys aren't "joiners" but I have hope for you yet .....I got 2 of you to post in less than 24 hours .....ahhhhhh

Hi to both of you!
I'm glad that you're still around Kate. The trouble with the US boards is it's the same fears and moans in a constant cycle. I'm sick of the 'poor me' posts and the God posts. Some people have never heard of personal resposibility. (Moan over for now!)
Ask and talk away! I look at this board once or twice a week, and post on the vsg board if I have anything positive to write.

I think, as does Paul, that we Brits just may not be joiners! Right from the start, this was a very quiet board.
Wls is much less common in the UK and there is more of a stigma attached to anything seen as cosmetic (WE know wls is NOT cosmetic but many people perceive it as such).
I also think that if people use an internet search engine to find a board, they will probably opt for a Brit one. I used OH for years before this UK group started and it is a strain talking in pounds not stone, different dress and shoe sizes, different foods etc..
But you are very welcome!
Kate

Maybe it's because of the summer ....or not but looking forward to seeing how others are coping on the other side of the globe My home site is Obesity Help Ontario in case you want to check us out . We are a pretty active board but it would be nice to see your board a little more active. My name is Jenn and I'm 41 yrs old and have been married to the same man for 27 years .......

Welcome! I'm the Kate Paul mentions!
I love my band. It has changed my life completely. The details are in my signature line.
The band does not work for everyone. We work hard and it helps us! But help is all! We do the work but it is just that bit easier.
Have ou any specific questions? Kate

Hi there and welcome. Kate is the experienced bander. Mine was a vsg over 2 years ago and 9 stone lost, off insulin and sleep apnoea gone. This board is very quiet at the moment, perhaps in the UK we're not joiners.
You'll find that many of the boards are of the 'my surgery is better than your surgery' type. Do the research and then have a vsg like me LOL....
