Welcome back!  Support is what we friends are for.  I'm naturally a very shy introvert - I just act as if I'm an extrovert.  Works for me, but not for everyone.  Hugs  :-)

Thanks for understanding, Paul! I see you can relate! LOL!

I hope all is well for you. We are making our way into Winter. Hopefully you have some interesting things you are looking forward to it!

Cheers and thanks so much for your post!

Do please hijack posts on a regular basis!

End of October we'll be spending a week cruising in the Med.  December I have a course on oil portraits from photographs, February will see me on a Chinese Brush Painting Portraiture Course.  I'm a great people watcher....

If you have some free time during the week there are courses run by the local council on things like photography, painting, drawing and so on.  I need to retire as I could go to one or two classes every day!

In two years time I'll get my NHS pension and will do a round Britain tour on the motorcycle of my dreams, probably raising money for charity.  We could always meet then - gives you plenty of time to think up excuses LOL+LMAO!!  This also applies to anyone else wanting to suffer my company!

Life's too short not to bite its' bum!

LOVE your post and I will be HURT if you don't swing by good old Lancashire!!

I have been thinking a LONG time about taking a photography course-as you said..life is too short! I need to stop trying to figure out WHAT I am waiting for and just do it!!

Thanks Paul and CONGRATS on your nearing pension! The tour sounds absolutely fabulous. I've got a cousin the USA  who is an avid motorcyclist (lives in Washington DC) and just took a whirlwind spin from there to California-then headed north to Las Vegas and back home.

Sounds like a WONDERFUL plan!!

Cheers,
Therese

Hi Paul!

OK, now that I jumped into the middle of your thread with a 'me me me" post-I would like to say that your post gives me Loads of hope!

And I agree-the tool is still there. YES-we are human and we are very likely to dabble in the food. The surgery didn't erase all from our brains. We may gravitate towards familiar places and behaviors.

I know I have done it myself. What is amazing-is the moment I clean it up-WOW-I start to shed those extra fluffy pounds! It's not about whether or not we will stray or even gain some weight. It's about what we DO about it.

Either I can slide into the "Oh-I broke it. I did it wrong..might as well keep on the fail trail"-or "Oh-right..I see the scale inching up-time for action".

YOU win! And congrats!

Peace,
T
