I did it, I can run + 5mth before and after pics
I did it, I did it, I did it - I finished my 30 day running plan. I did not deviate from the plan and for my reward, today I ran for 2 miles without stopping, and I still had plenty to give. I've entered a 5k fun run to keep me motivated omg seems kinda surreal.
So to remind me where I've come from I've finally found the courage (just) to post my real before pictures and some updated ones to celebrate passing my halfway mark, and achieving my running goals. Sorry all for the super tight running vest, but they are expensive and I don't have the luxury to keep buying (and the nature reserve that I run round is very quiet), so its all on show!!!
Piccies are on my profile as I can't get them to paste here
This is me about 2 weeks before surgery 21st 4lbs (298lbs) I look tired and unhealthy and everything was an effort. I had to grit my teeth and plaster on a smile to have these taken for the record. One day I'll look at these and be proud at how far I've come.

On this day I completed my 30 day running plan and ran 2 miles non stop - 5 months ago I couldn't even tell you if I could run for more than 10 seconds. Still a long way to go, but life has already changed. My partner loves me in this top hmmmmm wonder what 2 things affect that!!!

5 mths in, and down 81lbs, I feel so much better, and no longer feel like I should wear an apology on my shirt. (Shhhhhh a side profile is a lot less flattering, but don't tell anyone)

OMG!!! Did you accidentally post the wrong pics? It is almost unbeleivable how different you look! What a fabulous result!!!
And I bet your daily life is so much more fun! kate
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
I look back now and realise how much denial I was in. I always refused to give u*****t do things because of my size - but the amount of effort was enormous, and I lived with pain on a daily basis. I was miserable and ashamed, but that has all changed. I no longer have pains, I do things because I want to now, not because I have anything to prove and life is already greatly improved.
awwww thx T, you are so kind , all is going really well for me - I'm trying to settle into my new lifestyle of exercise and healthy eating, but I still mostly feel that I'm pretending and someone's gonna pull me up for trespassing in their world lol!!!
How are you keeping, and hows that back of yours doing.
