OMG I kinda enjoyed my stall!!!

I really know I shouldn't say this, but as I'm not superstitious and I don't believe in fate so here I go.  I had a stall for a total of 3 weeks, I wasn't unduly worried about it, but it did make me take stock and realise that none of this should be taken for granted.  But mostly it gave me a bit of a breather.

Losing weight so fast all the time is like trying to hit a moving target - and this really really isn't a complaint, but I constantly don't know where my body is at.  I go to the wardrobe with no idea if my clothes will look nice today or if they have gone over the line of too big.  I buy new clothes, some of which don't fit nicely within a month (which for me can sometimes only mean a couple of wears).  I avoid trying to squeeze into spaces only to find there is loads of room. People ask me how I'm doing and I sometimes get mixed up with what stone I'm in because its moved so fast.

I love love love my wls, but it was nice to take stock for a couple of weeks, but not half as nice as it is to be losing agian.  I've lost 9lbs in 9 days (omg) and been shopping in Matalans, I bought an entire work/interview outfit for £16 - and I feel positively average in my size 20 skirt (big wow for me).

So deep breath, and bring on that down hill ride once more.

lol! You got me on that one!  Are you able to keep the faith, or does it get your nerves a twitching. You watch it gallop off when its time though.

Well bloody done

Losing 20 stone has given me plenty of stalls, I can help but think they actually help now, as you can take stock of what your doing, make sure it right and even change it up ust to make sure you have variety, keep up the great work

Once you can sort out those stupid head battles and believe that it will start coming off again it is a great way to take stock and re-evaluate.  I have so much respect at how long you've been doing this and  I've come to realize that for all of us we have to take the rough with the smooth.  Thats where I've always given up in the past - hit a rough patch, get despondant and stop bothering because at that small moment in time it doesn't seem worth it. I think I'm finally kicking that habit.

20st is phenominal - share with us a list of the biggest differences it has made, I'd love to hear them.

well done you! Iv noticed my weight loss has settled into the pattern of lose big 1 week then nothing the next... but it can make me a little complacent... so today im back to giving myself the kick up the ass I need.
That must feel fantastic to be able to buy 'cheap temperary clothes' instead of having to pay a fortune out of Evan's and the like, you get fed up having to constantly 'try' harder to look glam being big!! now you dont need to, it just comes naturally, looking fab every day!! Keep up your fab work, your doing amazing x

WELCOME KAREN, whoop whoop whoop - glad you came over, so nice to see you here.  Anytime you need a hand with a velvet booted kick up the butt all you have to do is ask
You are doing great, you seem really determined.  I can wear a 20 now in some styles and most 22s are starting to get roomy, so Matalans is now an option as they have plenty of 20s and quite a few 22s, the quality and fit isn't the same as Evans or Simply Be, but so long as you are willing to try everything on I have managed to come away with clothes that are every bit comparable but for a quarter of the price.  So its not quite easy yet as I'm a fussy bugger and HAVE to get my clothes right, and like you said I make a huge effort to look good big, but drop 1 more dress size and it really will be so much easier.  Its so long since I had any sort of choice that I feel like a kid in a sweet shop.

You're gonna be there in the blink of an eye, and let me tell you it is soooooo worth it.

I agree it's good to take stock.  Today I've vomited every meal, so only protein bars for me tomorrow!  This probably means the end of the stall.  lol.

Great news that you're buying clothes.  It'll be another month or so before I really need to buy trousers and shirts.  I found a Rohan jacket in a draw on Saturday that I haven't worn since I was a student in '85.  It fits!!  So, an interview suit...good luck with whatever you apply for!
