Sharing my weekly goals, what are yours if any.

Although I weigh daily, I record once a week on a Friday.  I've only just cottoned on that I do it, but after I've weighed in I tend to give myself an area to improve on for the following week.  So I've decided to share, and want to hear if you have any mini goals for the week too.

So this week I lost 7lbs, which sounds better than it is as last week I lost only 2lbs and knew it would kind of catch up this week.  Still - I'm happy with that.

My goal for this week, is to pick less.  I still pick when I'm cooking, and accept offerings from kids and friends - you know, when someone offers their pack of crisps round, or asks you if you want to taste. Wish me strength on this one, I'll need all the willpower I can get, but I'm going for zero tolerance this week, I'll count the number of times I slip up and let you know next week!!!

Great idea!  Looking for a positive rather than a negative feedback is really good!

For myself, I'm going to get myself out of the house and walk.  I've got a 10K coming up in July, and I've got to get ready.  It has to be better for me than being up all night and sleeping all day.

Go on - put a number on it, how many walks are you going to aim for this week.  (pushy huh!!! LOL)

OK OK OK--every other day for 45 minutes which comes out to 2 miles a day and gives time for petting the neighborhood pooches who come out to say hello, stopping to admire the sailboats off Twin Lakes Beach, and admiring the spring flowers in gardens as I go by.

OOOOHHH I'm jealous, sounds idyllic. Good luck with the walking, I'll probably have to resort to the wii fit because its wet and miserable and grey and far too cold to venture out.

Sux to be in the UK in too early for spring/too late for winter.

My sister and her hubby live up in Portland, Oregon, which has the same kind of weather as you have.  They got a Wii and use it all the time to play golf--she waxes him!  But he's getting better, since he stopped throwing the controller across the living room!  LOL.

Have fun

I will be going back to work next Friday, so I'll be working hard to keep up with my 2x1 mile walks a day, and a 5 mile walk on weekends.  I want to start a weekly meal plan which will make shopping easier.  As part of this there'll be no picking, I've been so guilty of it this week!  Help!!!  I still need to upddate my photos, sorry Binty.

Well Paul, I'm not quite sure that your lack of photos is acceptable at this stage.  Maybe a sneak peak at your menu plan would appease my wrath!!!! My food choices are getting a little stale.

Hey, Binty, do you ever do any chili or Lentil soups?  I find that those are pretty easy and I can make up POTSFUL and not only have enough to feed a family, I can have leftovers for myself too.

I like to use ground beef or ground turkey as the base, and then throw in all kinds of beans, tomatoes, onions, celery, cumin, cilantro, and oregano.  Yum!  I'[m working on a potful now that I've gotten 4 meals out of so far!

Yes, I love chilli and it is one of my more regular meals, never tried it with turkey mince though - so I think I'll give that a go this week.  BTW what is cilantro
